A Special Forces Soldier died 15 Jan 12, from injuries sustained when his unit was engaged by enemy small-arms fire in Konduz Province, Afghanistan.
SFC Benjamin B. Wise, 34, was assigned to Company A; 3rd Battalion; 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne); at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
A native of El Dorado, Ark., he enlisted in the U.S. Army in November 2000 as an infantryman.
