Latest 2020 Presidential Polls – 28 December 2019 – Happy New Year Edition

The campaign season moves into the New Year’s week with the House Speaker holding the Articles of Impeachment until the Senate Majority leader pulls his head out and decides that his moment of history is here and it isn’t going to look favorably upon him with him promising to be Trump’s best buddy.

So, where are things as we move into the New Year? Nationally, former Vice-President Joe Biden continues to lead the pack for the Democratic Party nomination.

The Economist/YouGov poll, conducted 22-24 December 2019, of 1,500 adults places the current rankings as such:

Joe Biden 30%
Elizabeth Warren 19%
Bernie Sanders 17%

Pete Buttigieg 7%
Amy Klobuchar 5%
Mike Bloomberg 4%
Andrew Yang 3%
Cory Booker and Tulsi “present’ Gabbard 2%

In the Morning Consult poll, conducted December 20-22, 2019 among a sample of 5,000 registered voters, has the Democratic race lining up thus:

Biden 31%
Sanders 21%
Warren 15%

Buttigieg 9%
Bloomberg 6%
Yang 5%
Booker, Steyer and Klobuchar 3%

In The NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, conducted of 900 adults, from December 14-17, 2019:

Biden 28%
Sanders 21%
Warren 18%

Buttigieg 9%
Klobuchar 5%
Bloomberg 4%
Yang 3%
Booker, and Gabbard 2%

According to recent polling data available, if the election were today, odds are any of the top Democrat contenders would be the 46th President of the United States, and Trump, who is the 3rd man in U.S. history to be impeached, will still go down as one of the most incompetent and unethical persons to ever sit in the Oval Office.

The campaign season moves into Christmas week with the House making history impeaching Donald J. Trump, making him the 3rd President in United States history to be facing removal in a Senate trial.

 

So, where are things as we move into Christmas, Hanukah, and Kwanza? Nationally, former Vice-President Joe Biden continues to lead the pack for the Democratic Party nomination.

An NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, conducted 14-17 December 2019, of 900 adults places the current rankings as such:

Joe Biden 28%
Bernie Sanders 21%
Elizabeth Warren 18%
Pete Buttigieg 9%
Amy Klobuchar 5%
Mike Bloomberg 4%
Andrew Yang 3%
Cory Booker and Tulsi “present’ Gabbard 2%

A CNN poll, “conducted December 12-15, 2019 among a sample of 1,005 respondents,” has the Democratic race lining up thus:

Biden 26%
Sanders 20%
Warren 16%
Buttigieg 8%
Bloomberg 5%
Klobuchar, Yang, and Booker 3%
Castro 2%

In The Morning Consult poll, conducted of 13,384 survey interviews of likely voters living in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada, from December 9-15, 2019:

Biden 31%

Booker and Steyer 3%
Gabbard and Klobuchar 2%

Landline (221) and cellphone (779) telephone numbers were randomly selected for inclusion in the survey using a probability proportionate to size method, which means phone numbers for each state are proportional to the number of voters in each state” has the Democratic race lining up thus:

The campaign season moves into December with Trump facing certain impeachment in the House, and almost as certain non-removal in the GOP controlled Senate.

So, where are things as we move into December? Nationally, former Vice-President Joe Biden continues to lead the pack for the Democratic Party nomination, while California Senator Kamala Harris dropped out amidst lagging support in the polls and a serious shortfall in campaign contributions. However, she will make an excellent Attorney General.

The Economist/You Gov Poll, “conducted by Web-based interviews December 1-3, 2019 among a random sample of 1,500 adults nationwide, including 1,200 registered voters” has the Democratic race lining up thus:
