Latest 2020 Presidential Polls – 15 December 2019 Edition

15 Dec

The campaign season moves closer to Christmas with the House Judiciary Committee making history passing Articles of Impeachment against Trump, who is now facing certain impeachment in the House.

So, where are things as we move into the second week of December? Nationally, former Vice-President Joe Biden continues to lead the pack for the Democratic Party nomination.

The Fox News poll, “conducted December 8-11, 2019 among a random national sample of 1,000registered voters (RV). Landline (221) and cellphone (779) telephone numbers were randomly selected for inclusion in the survey using a probability proportionate to size method, which means phone numbers for each state are proportional to the number of voters in each state” has the Democratic race lining up thus:

Joe Biden 30%
Bernie Sanders 20%
Elizabeth Warren 13%
Pete Buttigieg 7%
Mike Bloomberg, and Amy Klobuchar 5%
Andrew Yang, and Tulsi Gabbard 3%
Cory Booker 2%
Tom Steyer, Julian Castro, Michael Bennet, and Marianne Williamson 1%

In The Economist/YouGov poll, conducted using an “opt-in Internet panel” of 1,500 Adult citizens from December 7 – 10, 2019:

Biden 26%
Warren 21%
Sanders 16%
Buttigieg 11%
Bloomberg 4%
Yang, Booker, and Gabbard 3%
Klobuchar 2%
Castro, Steyer, Williamson, and Bennett 1%

In a Quinnipiac University poll, conducted by telephone of 1,553 “self-identified registered voters” from December 4 – 9, 2019:

Biden 29%
Sanders 17%
Warren 15%
Buttigieg 9%
Bloomberg 4%
Yang 4%
Klobucher 3%
Gabbard 2%
Booker, Steyer, Castro, Bennett, and Williamson 1%

According to recent polling data available. If the election were today, odds are any of the top Democrat contenders would be the 46th President of the United States, and Trump, who will be impeached, will go down as one of the most inept and corrupt persons to ever sit in the Oval Office.
