Latest 2020 Presidential Polls – 28 December 2019 – Happy New Year Edition

28 Dec

The campaign season moves into the New Year’s week with the House Speaker holding the Articles of Impeachment until the Senate Majority leader pulls his head out and decides that his moment of history is here and it isn’t going to look favorably upon him with him promising to be Trump’s best buddy.

So, where are things as we move into the New Year? Nationally, former Vice-President Joe Biden continues to lead the pack for the Democratic Party nomination.

The Economist/YouGov poll, conducted 22-24 December 2019, of 1,500 adults places the current rankings as such:

Joe Biden 30%
Elizabeth Warren 19%
Bernie Sanders 17%

Pete Buttigieg 7%
Amy Klobuchar 5%
Mike Bloomberg 4%
Andrew Yang 3%
Cory Booker and Tulsi “present’ Gabbard 2%

In the Morning Consult poll, conducted December 20-22, 2019 among a sample of 5,000 registered voters, has the Democratic race lining up thus:

Biden 31%
Sanders 21%
Warren 15%

Buttigieg 9%
Bloomberg 6%
Yang 5%
Booker, Steyer and Klobuchar 3%

In The NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, conducted of 900 adults, from December 14-17, 2019:

Biden 28%
Sanders 21%
Warren 18%

Buttigieg 9%
Klobuchar 5%
Bloomberg 4%
Yang 3%
Booker, and Gabbard 2%

According to recent polling data available, if the election were today, odds are any of the top Democrat contenders would be the 46th President of the United States, and Trump, who is the 3rd man in U.S. history to be impeached, will still go down as one of the most incompetent and unethical persons to ever sit in the Oval Office.
