Romney’s full comment goes something like this…” I don’t worry about the poor because the government already tales cae of them and I don’t worry about the rich their doing fine…” and then I believe he goes on to talk about helping the middle class keep their jobs. Be wary of any comment that is used to bash an opponent. So many are taken out of context.

Ironically, Romney says he’s not concerned about the very poor because they have a safety net–the same safety net the Republicans are trying to take away (while trying to save the rich some $). And even WITH the safety net, children are starving and malnourished right here in the US. He’s appallingly out of touch.

And, Romney said that if there were holes in the safety net for the poor, he would fix them. Does this mean he believes the net is important? Really? Do we even know? What about helping people be less poor rather than not worrying about them? Even in context his words rub the wrong way.

    A) Romney’s economic plan would completely eliminate the very poor’s safety net. B) The middle class was built by unions and Romney (or any Tea Bagger) will work tirelessly to destroy the unions, thereby eliminating the middle class. C) How many “out of context” or “flubs” are you yahoos going to give this trust-funded corporate pirate?

“I’m in this race because I care about Americans. I’m not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there. If it needs repair, I’ll fix it,” the Republican front-runner said Wednesday on CNN, following his victory in the Florida primary. “I’m not concerned about the very rich, they’re doing just fine. I’m concerned about the very heart of the America, the 90 percent, 95 percent of Americans who right now are struggling.”

Full quote doesn’t make him look any less the snooty rich kid he is – Mittens doesn’t get it; he’s never wanted for anything in his life; he’s never worried about the rent; he’s never worried about paying for an ER visit; his biggest worry in life has been which pair of cufflinks to wear.

I saw one conservative try to protect him by saying, “Why should he care about the poor, they don’t pay any taxes.”
