Latest 2020 Presidential Polls – 29 November 2019 Edition

Here is the first commentary on the 2020 Presidential Election. The political season is moving forward, with the Democratic Party’s Nomination process staggering along, while Donald Trump continues to dominate the Republican Party through fear and intimidation of his poorly educated racist, xenophobic base. Trump is swamped with impeachment hearings with Republicans bending over backward competing to see who can become Trump’s favorite new holster.

So, where are things as we move into the Christmas season? Nationally, with the Democratic nomination, former Vice-President Joe Biden continues to lead the pack.

The Economist/You Gov Poll, “conducted by telephone November 24-26, 2019 among a random sample of 1,500 adults nationwide, including 1,189 registered voters” has the Democratic race lining up thus:

Joe Biden 23%
Elizabeth Warren 17%
Bernie Sanders 15%
Pete Buttigieg 12%

Kamala Harris 4%
Andrew Yang, Mike Bloomberg, and Amy Klobuchar 3%
Cory Booker 2%
Tom Steyer 1%
Tulsi Gabbard 2%
Julian Castro 1%
Michael Bennet 0%

In a Morning Consult Poll, conducted by telephone of 5,000 “registered voters” from November 21-24, 2019:

Joe Biden 30%
Bernie Sanders 21%
Elizabeth Warren 15%

Pete Buttigieg 9%
Kamala Harris 5%
Andrew Yang 4%
Mike Bloomberg, Amy Klobuchar, Cory Booker, and Tom Steyer 2%
Tulsi Gabbard and Julian Castro 1%
Michael Bennet 0%

According to a SurveyUSA Poll, conducted from 20-21 November 2019, if the General Election was today:

Biden 52/Trump 39
Sanders 52/Trump 40
Warren 49/Trump 42
Buttigieg 48/Trump 41
Harris 47/Trump 42
Bloomberg 46/Trump 40

According to recent polling data available, if the election were today, odds are any of the top Democrat contenders would be the 46th President of the United States. Trump, who will be impeached, will go down as one of the most inept and corrupt persons to ever sit in the Oval Office.

If you are a Democrat, you need to support whoever the nominee is, come November 2020. If you are a Republican, your only hope appears to be to throw Trump away before he leads the GOP into political party oblivion.

Presidential days on vacation 16 Jul 2019

Based on his number of days thus far, by the end of his term, Trump will have spent 454 days on vacation after four years. He is without a doubt one of the laziest people to ever sit in the Oval Office. If God forbid, he makes eight years, based on how many days he’s vacationed so far, Trump will have spent 908 days. Surpassed only by George W. Bush.
