Latest 2012 Presidential Polls – 19 Jul 12 Edition

Sixteen weeks to go until the November election and the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) presidential wanna-be Willard Mitt Romney’s under fire for having said he left Bain Capital in 1999 while records from the company filed with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) show he was still not just involved but intimately involved being listed as the CEO, sole stock holder and chief cook and bottle washer; additionally he’s being pressured to release his tax records (to date he’s released a partial 2010) and thus far Willard’s refusing to give anything up.

So, how does the GOTP candidate stand up against the President?

According to the latest CBS News/NY Times poll of registered voters conducted from 11 – 16 Jul 12, shows the President with a 36% favorability rating compared to Romney’s 32%.

So, who’s more electable right now?

In the most recent viable’ national poll(s) – which are any group other than FOX News, Washington Times or Rasmussen (which are generally always skewed not just to the right, but far to the right) – the most current Gallup Tracking poll of registered voters conducted 12 – 18 Jul 12, if the general election were held today:

President Obama 46/Romney 46

The most recent CBS News/NY Times poll of registered voters conducted 11 – 16 Jul 12, if the general election were held today:

President Obama 46/Romney 47

And finally, the most recent NPR poll of likely voters conducted 09 – 12 Jul 12, if the general election were held today:

President Obama 47/Romney 45

If the general election was held today, according to national polls, it’s too close to call between Willard Mitt Romney and President Obama in the general election.

However, according to state polls, if the General Election were held TODAY (note these are based on current poll numbers – not projections), the Electoral College totals based on all available current poll numbers:
