Latest 2012 Presidential Polls – 20 Dec 11 Edition

A new ABC News/Wash Post poll conducted 15 – 18 Dec 11 gives President Obama one of the highest approval ratings since this past summer; of adults polled 49% approve of the President’s job performance as compared to 47% disapproval; conversely, a CBS News poll conducted 5 – 7 Dec 11 shows Congressional job approval at 11% – not good news for the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) controlled House moving into an election year.

Concerning the ongoing GOTP nominating circus, a new ABC News/Wash Post poll of registered voters conducted from 15 – 18 Dec 11 has been released and the current poll results are:

Newton Leroy Gingrich and Mittens Romney are tied at 30; Ronny Paul 15; Michele “Krazy” Bachmann 7; Reverend Rick Perry 6; Ricky “The Ric” Santorum 4 and Jon “I can’t believe it’s not butter” Huntsman 2

The GOTP clown car continues to spin wildly down the campaign trail with Newton holding on to what appears to be an ever shrinking lead over Bridesmaid Mittens; Paul’s gaining in third while Krazy moves back into a distant fourth and Reverend Perry hopefully is beginning his final plunge; Huntsman falls back to bottom-dwelling mud sucker status while Santorum begins to once again float to the top of this political cesspool.

Ron Paul surges further ahead of the pack in Iowa where a new Insider Advantage poll of likely voters conducted 18 Dec 11 reports Paul 24; Romney 18; Perry 16; Gingrich 13; Bachmann 10; Huntsman 4 and Santorum 3

Romney regains solid lead in New Hampshire where the PPP (D) poll of likely voters conducted 16 – 18 Dec 11 shows Mittens 35; Paul 19; Gingrich 17; Huntsman 13; Bachmann 5; Santorum 3 and Perry 2

Newton holds on In South Carolina where the latest Clemson poll of likely voters conducted 6 – 19 Dec 11 find Gingrich 38; Romney 21; Paul 10; Perry and Bachmann 5; Huntsman 3 and Santorum 2

Newton remains in the lead for now in Florida where the new NBC News/Marist poll of likely voters conducted on 04 – 07 Dec 11 has Gingrich 44; Romney 29; Paul 8; Perry 4; Bachmann and Huntsman 3; Santorum 2

In the four states with the lead off primaries – or caucuses – Gingrich leads in two, Paul in one and Mittens in one …

Concerning how the GOTP “candidates stack up against the President; according to a USA Today/Gallup poll of likely voters conducted 15 – 18 Dec 11, if the general election were held today:

President Obama 50/Romney 48

An ABC News/Wash Post poll of likely voters conducted 15 – 18 Dec 11, if the general election were held today:

President Obama 51/Gingrich 43

So, if the GOTP clown car had finally stopped spinning, and the general election was held today, Newton Leroy Gingrich or Mittens Romney may have been the GOTP nominee, but either would’ve lost to President Obama.

Latest 2012 Presidential Polls – 14 Dec 11 Edition

A new Reuters/Ipsos poll of registered voters conducted from 8 – 12 Dec 11 has been released concerning the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) nominating circus; the current poll results are:

Newton Leroy Gingrich 28; Mittens Romney 18; Ronny Paul 12; Reverend Rick Perry 12; Michele “Krazy” Bachmann 10; Jon “I can’t believe it’s not butter” Huntsman 5 and Ricky “The Ric” Santorum 4

So, the GOTP version of the Island of Misfit Candidates labors on with Newton holding on to what appears to be shrinking lead over Bridesmaid Mittens; but that news isn’t good for Mittens as the other GOTP candidates all climbed a little higher this week; Paul is gaining in third tied now with Reverend Perry while Krazy’s prediction may be coming true with at least some of Herman Cain’s former followers “going home to her”; Huntsman has his biggest leap thus far in the polls moving up to 5% while Santorum continues at the bottom.

In Iowa, a new Insider Advantage poll of likely voters conducted 12 Dec 11: Gingrich 27; Paul 17; Perry 13; Romney 12; Bachmann 10; Santorum 7 and Huntsman 4

In New Hampshire, the Insider Advantage poll of likely voters conducted 12 Dec 11: Mittens 29; Gingrich 24; Paul 21; Huntsman 11; Bachmann 4; Santorum 2 and Perry 1

In South Carolina, the NBC News/Marist poll of likely voters conducted 4 – 6 Dec 11: Gingrich 42; Romney 23; Paul 9; Perry and Bachmann 7; Huntsman 3 and Santorum 4

In Florida, the new NBC News/Marist poll of likely voters conducted on 04 – 07 Dec 11: Gingrich 44; Romney 29; Paul 8; Perry 4; Bachmann and Huntsman 3; Santorum 2

In the four states with the lead off primaries – or caucuses – Gingrich leads big with 3 states and over Romney’s 1 …

Concerning how the GOTP “candidates stack up against the President; according to a NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl poll of likely voters conducted 07 – 11 Dec 11, if the general election were held today:

President Obama 47/Romney 45

President Obama 51/Gingrich 40

So, if the GOTP clown car had finally stopped spinning, and the general election was held today, Newton Leroy Gingrich would be the GOTP nominee, but he would’ve lost huge to President Obama.

The GOTP version of the Island of Misfit Candidates continues with Newton holding on to his lead over Bridesmaid Mittens; Paul is holding steady as a distant third; still waiting on Krazy’s prediction to come true with Cain’s followers “going home to her”; Reverend Ricky, continues to drop away and out of view, while Santorum and Huntsman maintain their bottom dwelling mud sucker status.

In the five states with the lead off primaries – or caucuses – Gingrich leads big with 3 states and a probable 4th over Romney’s 2 and very likely 1 …

Concerning how the GOTP “candidates stack up against the President; according to a Rasmussen Reports poll of likely voters conducted 30 Nov – 01 Dec 11, if the general election were held today:

President Obama 42/Romney 40

According to a Rasmussen Reports poll of likely voters conducted 06 – 07 Dec 11, if the general election were held today:

President Obama 45/Gingrich 40

So, if the GOTP clown car had finally stopped spinning, and the general election was held today, Newton Leroy Gingrich would be the GOTP nominee, but he would’ve lost to President Obama.
