Latest 2020 Presidential Polls – 3 February 2020 – Iowa Caucus Edition

03 Feb

The Iowa Caucuses are finally here, and who will win is still the big question. In DC, the Impeachment Trial for Donald Trump has run through its second week with Senate Republicans prepared to fall on their political swords defending quite probably the most indefensible person in US history. John Bolton and Lev Parnas wait in the wings to spill the beans on the Hill, even while the Senate has voted not to allow new witnesses in the Impeachment Trial. Will the House subpoena them, and get their testimonies on the record prior to the 2020 election?

So, where are things as we blunder into Iowa? Nationally, former Vice-President Joe Biden continues to lead the pack for the Democratic Party nomination.

The latest LA Times/USC poll, conducted 15-28 January 2020, of 4,869 registered voters places the current rankings as such:

Joe Biden 34%
Bernie Sanders 18%
Elizabeth Warren 16%
Mike Bloomberg and Pete Buttigieg 9%
Amy Klobuchar 3%
Andrew Yang and Tom Steyer 2%

The Economist/YouGov poll, conducted 26-28 January 2020, of 1,500 US Adult citizens places the current rankings as such:

Biden 26%
Sanders 24%
Warren 20%
Buttigieg 7%
Bloomberg, Klobuchar, and Yang 4%
Tulsi “Present” Gabbard 3%

In the IBD/TIPP Poll, conducted from 23-30 January 2020 of 908 adults:

Biden 26%
Sanders 19%
Warren 13%
Bloomberg 8%
Buttigieg 7%
Yang 4%
Klobuchar 3%
Steyer 2%

Concerning the Iowa Democratic Caucus, the current polling stands as:

According to recent polling data available, if the election was today, odds are any of the top three Democrat contenders would be the 46th President of the United States. Trump, who forever remains the third impeached president in U.S. history, will still go down as one of the most miserable and decadent persons to ever sit in the Oval Office.
