Latest 2016 Presidential Polls – 17 May 2016 Edition

The Republican Tea Party (GOTP) clown bus has lost all of its passengers but is still being controlled by its fascist driver, Donald Trump, careening from side to side along the road, crashing into guard rails, threatening to send the GOTP off of the proverbial cliff and taking the rest of us with it.

decision 2016

Trump has won the Republican Party’s nomination, but this victory is still not an endorsement of conservatism in America but rather it is an indictment.

On the Democratic side, we still have a race, well, sort of, Hillary Clinton has all but locked it up while BernBots continue to insist Bernie Sanders can pull it off.

Nationally, the two are not that close:

A CNN/ORC Poll from 28 April to 01 May has:

Hillary Clinton 51%

Bernie Sanders 43%

In Kentucky’s primary tonight, Clinton won 47/46 with 24 delegates to Sander’s 22

In Oregon’ primary, Sanders appears to have won 53/47 with 21 delegates awarded at this time to Clinton’s 17.

The last big primary, California, is coming up on 7 June, along with Montana, New Jersey, and New Mexico.

California – KABC/SurveyUSA Poll from 27-30 April has Clinton way over Sanders 57/38.

Montana has no recent polling data available.

New Jersey – Monmouth Poll from 1-3 May has Clinton over Sanders 60/32

New Mexico – Albuquerque Journal Poll from February had Clinton over Sanders 47/33.

Clinton leads Sanders 2,281/1,516 total delegates – counting superdelegates, which are delegates, whether BernBots like it or not. It is going to be a Clinton vs. Trump general election, barring anything unforeseen. No, the FBI will not be removing Clinton from the race.

So, how does November look right now? According to all currently available state-by-state polling data, it looks like Clinton buries Sanders 379/159.

2016 Electoral Map 16May16-2

Nationally, the polling numbers are:

Gravis Poll 10 May – Clinton 48/Trump 46

PPP (D) 6-9 May – Clinton 47/Trump 41

CNN/ORC 28 April to 1 May – Clinton 54/Trump 41

According to recent polling data available, if the election were today, odds are Hillary Clinton will be the 45th President of the United States, and Trump would be a footnote in the history books.

If you are a Republican, fear for your Party; the lunatics – aka the Tea Party – are now clearly in charge of the asylum, and the future does not look very good.

Latest 2016 Presidential Polls – 24 February 2016 Edition

Two months have passed since I last commented on the current 2016 Presidential Election, and in those two months, oh how the mighty have fallen.

decision 2016

The political season continues to surge forward towards the abyss. The Republican Tea Party (GOTP) clown bus has lost most of its passengers but is still being controlled by its fascist driver, Donald Trump, careening from side to side along the road, crashing into guard rails, passengers screaming, threatening to send the GOTP off of the proverbial cliff ad taking the rest of us with it.

Continuing his standard operating procedure, making one crazy statement after another Trump continues to lead in the polls, winning one primary after another – New Hampshire, South Carolina, Nevada – appealing to the worse parts of human nature – you know, the Nazi parts, the white supremacist parts – and firmly now entrenched as the Party’s leader. His leading is still not an endorsement of conservatism in America; it is an indictment.

So, where are things as we move towards Super Tuesday?

Nationally, the man who relishes living in political chaos continues holding on to the top spot in the polls in spite of everything he does.

A Rasmussen Reports Poll, conducted February 11-22, 2016 of “Likely Republican Voters” has the Republican race lining up thus:

Donald Trump 36%
Marco Rubio 21%
Ted Cruz (the Canadian who would be President) 17%
John Kasich 12%
Ben Carson 8%

So, 58% of the Republican Party is supporting anyone but Trump, while the crazy one-third of the Party is destroying it, one primary at a time. Of course, six percent of the GOTP does not appear to like any of these candidates.

In an FOX News Poll, conducted by telephone of “registered voters” from 15-17 February 2016:

Trump 36%
Cruz 19%
Rubio 15%
Carson 9%
Bush 9% (sadly Jeb has taken his toys home after the SC Primary)
Kasich 8%

Again, 60% of the Party opposes Trump, and yet he is dominating the Primaries because the other stiffs will not admit defeat and move out of the way.

On the Democratic side, the FOX News Poll has:

Bernie Sanders 47%
Hillary Clinton 44%

An NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll from 14-16 February 2016 has:

Clinton 53%
Sanders at 42%

According to the FOX News, if the General Election was today:

Rubio 48/Clinton 44
Cruz 46/Clinton 45
Clinton 47/Trump 42

Sanders 53/Trump 38

According to a USA Today/Suffolk Poll, taken 11-15 February 2016:

Trump 45/Clinton 43
Cruz 45/Clinton 44
Rubio 48/Clinton 42

Rubio 46/Sanders 42
Trump 44/Sanders 43
Sanders 44/Cruz 42

According to recent polling data available, if the election were today, odds are anyone running might be the 45th President of the United States, and the others would still be footnotes in history books.

If you are a Republican, fear for your Party; the lunatics – aka the Tea Party – are now clearly in charge of the asylum.

Latest 2016 Presidential Polls – 12 December 2015 Edition

It has been nearly four months since I last commented on the current 2016 Presidential Election, and in those four months next to nothing has changed. The political season continues to stagger forward. The Republican Tea Party (GOTP) clown bus is still filled to overflowing while its fascist driver, Donald Trump, careens from side to side along the road, threatening to send the GOTP off of the proverbial cliff. Making one crazy declaration after another Trump continues to lead in the polls, appealing to the worse parts of human nature, and firmly now ensconced as the Party’s new leader. His leading is not an endorsement of conservatism in America; it is an indictment.

decision 2016

So, where are things as we move towards Christmas and New Years?

Nationally, “the Donald,” aka “Der Fuhrer,” the man who seems to relish living in political chaos, continues holding on to the top spot in the polls in spite of all his outlandish comments.

The CBS/NY Times Poll, “conducted by telephone December 4-8, 2015 among a random sample of 1,275 adults nationwide, including 1,053 registered voters” has the Republican race lining up thus:

Donald Trump 35%
Ted Cruz (the Canadian who would be President) 16%
Ben Carson 13%
Marco Rubio 9%
Rand Paul 4%
Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, John Kasich, and Mike Huckabee 3%
None of them 2%
Carly Fiorina 1%
Rick Santorum, George Pataki, and Lindsey Graham 0%

It must hurt to know that “none of them” garners more of a percentage of the party faithful than you do.

In a USA Today/Suffolk Poll, conducted by telephone of “registered voters” from December 2-6, 2015:

Trump 27%
Cruz 17%
Rubio 16%
Carson 10%
Bush 4%
Paul, Christie, and Kasich 2%
Fiorina, Huckabee, and Santorum 1%
Pataki and Graham 0%

Something very troubling for the Republican Party is the fact that 68% of Trump followers have said they would support him if he bolted from the GOTP and made an independent run for the White House. Reality being 68% of Trump supporters could mean anywhere from 15% to 20% or more of the Republican base in a general election, ensuring a Democratic victory in 2016.

On the Democratic side, the CBS/NY Times Poll has:

Hillary Clinton 52%
Bernie Sanders 32%
Martin O’Malley 2%

The USA Today/Suffolk Poll has:

Clinton 56%
Sanders at 29%
O’Malley 4%

According to the USA Today/Suffolk Poll, if the General Election was today:

Clinton 48/Trump 44
Rubio 48/Clinton 45
Clinton 47/Cruz 45
Clinton 46/Carson 45

According to a CNN/ORC Poll, conducted from 27 November to 1 December, if the General Election was today:

Clinton 50/Cruz 47
Carson 50/Clinton 47
Clinton 49/Trump 46
Rubio 49/Clinton 48

Clearly, there are some serious problems with the polling data when a CNN/ORC Poll finds Ben – the Egyptians built the pyramids to store grain – Carson beating Hillary Clinton at anything. The CNN/ORC poll is highly suspect.

Finally, in an MSNBC/Telemundo/Marist Poll, conducted from 15 November to 2 December:

Clinton 52/Trump 41
Clinton 51/Cruz 44
Clinton 48/Rubio 45
Clinton 48/Carson 47

According to recent polling data available, if the election were today, odds are Hillary Clinton would be the 45th President of the United States, and the others would still be footnotes in history books.

If you are a Republican, your only hope appears to be with a very junior Senator from Florida. Good luck with that.
