God’s putting Romney behind to prove it’s a miracle when he wins?
Uber right-wing conservative talk show host Glenn Beck says Republican Tea Party (GOTP) presidential wannabe Willard Mitt Romney’s poll numbers have fallen as a part of a heavenly plan from God to make it obvious to the American people “divine intervention” was responsible when Republicans take the White House in November.
“I know Mitt Romney wasn’t your first choice, nor was he mine,” Beck recently said in an interview. “I am to the point that — A — God is trying to make this so clear to us that if it happens, it’s his finger. Because nothing looks good.”
“And yet, everybody I know who I consider a spiritual giant feels good,” he continued. “And it bothers me that I feel good because, I’m like, there’s no reason that I should feel good on this.”
So, what happens when Willard not only loses but loses big? Was God’s divine plan thwarted by some evil plan, or was Beck proven – once again – to be as mad as a hatter?
But wait, Beck wasn’t done, he declared Willard’s hidden private life proved he was “kind of on the line” with President George Washington.
“And a politician to hide that shows even deeper character, I think,” Beck observed. “It shows he knows [God is] in charge. And he obeys. … He’s enough like [Washington] that God can change you.”
Really, so, now Mitt Romney’s stature is equal to George Washington’s?
One would think having been fired from FOX News because of his lunatic ramblings would’ve made Beck step back and take a look at his life, and maybe seek some professional therapy, but apparently he’s decided to just keep rambling down crazy lane on his way to Bedlam.
Government to limit family size?
According to news reports former Republican Tea Party (GOTP) presidential candidate Michele Bachmann’s warning women the government’s going to start telling American families how many children they can have, and it’s all part of what’s really behind President Obama’s contraception mandate; and where did she make this astounding claim? On the only network in the country where such things could be made, Glenn Beck’s network, GBTV, on the show “Real News From The Blaze.” No doubt her newest claims worried the dozens of viewers watching the program.
“I think that it is a mistake for us to get caught in a trap that the left would love to have us dance in,” she said, adding that the “war on women” was an appeal to a “group.”
“Women have a lot to lose under ‘Obamacare,’ and I’ll give you an example,” she continued. “If you want to go into specifics, what the government can give, the government can take away. It certainly isn’t beyond the pale to think, in light of Kathleen Sebelius, the Health and Human Services secretary — she said that it’s important that we have contraceptives because that prevents pregnancy, and pregnancy is more expensive to the federal government.”
But wait, there’s more; once she got into her groove she kept following her own twisted theory to its conclusion. “Going with that logic, according to our own Health and Human Services secretary, it isn’t far-fetched to think that the president of the United States could say ‘We need to save health care expenses. The federal government will only pay for one baby to be born in the hospital per family, or two babies to be born per family.’ That could happen. We think it couldn’t?”
When anchor Amy Holmes asked if she was really suggesting the government might one day advocate a one-child policy like China, Bachmann replied.
“What I’m saying is that now that we know the president of the United States, unilaterally, can tell insurance companies, ‘You must offer the morning-after abortion pill, you must offer sterilizations, you must offer contraceptives free to the recipients of those products, because we tell you to’ (which means they’re effectively setting the price, as well), that says that whoever the health care dictator, could conceivably make that order, as well,” she said.
Bachmann’s clearly been missing the spot light she had during her failed presidential folly and now she’s pandering to the farthest of the far right, hence appearing on Beck’s “thriving” internet network; it’s the only place “Krazy” is welcomed these days, and falling back on tried and true conservative tactic of fear, gloom and despair.
No one’s going to dictate to American families how many children they can have, and no one’s going to force sterilization or contraception on women; this is just more of the same Bachmann we’ve all come to know and love.
God has chosen Rick Santorum?
According to the Huffington Post, Republican Tea Party (GOTP) presidential candidate Rick Santorum’s wife has said that although she initially opposed her husband’s presidential campaign, she came around to the idea after realizing that “God had big plans for Rick.”
Surprise, surprise she announced this revelation while being interviewed by (who else?) Glenn Beck (does he still have a show?), Karen Santorum said she initially had serious reservations about her husband running for the GOTP nomination saying his loss in his senate re-election in 2006 had made her hesitant to support a presidential run.
She said the turning point for her was a passage in President Obama’s Affordable Care Act.
“I did always feel in my heart that God had big plans for Rick,” she said. “Eventually it was there, tugging at my heart. … When Obamacare passed, that was it. That put the fire in my belly.”
She clarified that her opposition to the President’s health care plan was largely due to her daughter’s condition.
“This is why we’re making the sacrifice we are as a family, to give all,” she said. “Because I do believe that if President Obama is elected again, I do believe we’re going to lose our nation as we know it. As a mother of 7, I’m really concerned about that.”
Reportedly Santorum believes her husband’s recent rise in the polls is “God’s will.”
As a conservative friend told me today, “Well, Santorum’s done”.
“I think [God] has us on a path,” she told Beck. “I do think that there’s a lot more happening than what we’re seeing.”
So, once again God has ordained a GOTP candidate? Let’s see if I’ve got this score right, so far this would be the fourth time God’s chosen his nominee – at least according to some; so far there’s been Michele Bachmann, then Rick Perry followed by everyone’s favorite pizza guy Herman Cain and now Rick Santorum.
I don’t think God calls forth His candidates, and if He has, why have they all – thus far – dropped out? Were the others chosen and then fell from grace? I don’t think that’s how it’s worked; I don’t think any of them have been called to run, unless of course it’s to ensure President Obama’s re-elected by ensuring there was really no competition – otherwise if this is who the Lord’s calling to run it’s simply to prove He has a sense of humor, because while God may work in mysterious ways, He doesn’t act in dumb ways.
Newt Gingrich Supporters Who Oppose Obama Are Racist?
The verdict’s in, the Tea Party’s racist; and guess who the judge is? Glenn Beck; yes that’s right, Glenn Beck. Professor Beck said on Friday that Newt Gingrich’s such a “progressive” that any supporters of his who oppose President Obama are doing so because of Obama’s race.
Beck’s reportedly been very vocal about his dislike for Newton, and he hosted the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) presidential frontrunner recently for a notably tough interview. Last week, the Beckster appeared on the Fox Business show “Freedom Watch” and hammered Gingrich even more.
Calling him “the only candidate I cannot vote for,” Beck said Newton’s so-called support for Theodore Roosevelt “ridiculous,” and said he’d issued a “challenge” to any Tea Party supporters of the former House Speaker.
“You read this guy’s record,” he said. “You read his words…see what he believes. This man is a progressive. He knows he’s a progressive. He doesn’t have a problem with being a progressive. So if you’ve got a big government progressive [in Gingrich] or a big government progressive in Obama, one in Newt Gingrich, one in Obama, ask yourself this Tea Party. Is it about Obama’s race? Because that’s what it appears to be to me. If you’re against him but you’re for this guy, it must be about race.”
“It must be about race,” the host, Andrew Napolitano, said. “I mean, what else is it about, Judge?” Beck said. “It’s the policies that matter.”
Wow, who ever thought Glenn Beck would be calling the Tea Party racists? It must be a cold day in …
