Mittens mews at the President over U.S.-Israel relationship?

President Barack Obama’s hot-mic moment with French President Nicolas Sarkozy was more embarrassing for the latter than the former, with the French president calling Benjamin Netanyahu a “liar” and Obama only complaining about his daily dealings with the man but that hasn’t stopped Mittens Romney from getting his back up and hissing.

Sarkozy of course didn’t realize his microphone was hot (in today’s world that’s being very naive) during a down moment at the G-20 summit in Cannes, France. “I cannot stand him,” Sarkozy was reported as saying about Netanyahu. “He is a liar.” President Obama responded, “You’re fed up with him, but I have to deal with him every day!”

Mittens Romney automatically attacked, accusing the president of being “disdainful of [the] U.S.-Israel Relationship.”

“President Obama’s derisive remarks about Israel’s Prime Minister confirm what any observer would have gleaned from his public statements and actions toward our longstanding ally, Israel,” Romney said.

“At a moment when the Jewish state is isolated and under threat, we cannot have an American president who is disdainful of our special relationship with Israel. We have here yet another reason why we need new leadership in the White House.”

Well Mittens, first, when has Israel not been “isolated and under threat” you wind bag; second, because the President doesn’t like Netanyahu doesn’t mean he doesn’t like Israel – plenty of people can’t stand the sight of you but love the Mormon Church, Massachusetts and Michigan. This is a whole lot of much ado about nothing and you need to worry more about Herman Cain right now than about President Obama.

Latest 2012 Presidential Polls – 08 Nov 11 Edition

A new NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl poll conducted 02 – 06 Nov 11 has been released concerning the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) nominating circus; the current poll results are:

Herman “Pizza Man” Cain 21; Mittens Romney 21; Newter Gingrich 12; Reverend Rick Perry 11; Ronny Paul 8; Michele “Krazy” Bachmann 3; Ricky “The Ric” Santorum 2 and Jon “I can’t believe it’s not butter” Huntsman 1 …

The GOTP Catch 22 continues virtually neck-n-neck between the Pizza Man Mittens with very little change in spite of Cain’s apparent serial groping. Reverend Ricky and Newter continue to change places week after week; Paul is in stable condition in the middle of the frenzy while Krazy’s hanging in her rubber room of political purgatory continuing to teeter on the edge of unknown status now only one small point above Huntsman and Santorum.

In Iowa, a new Insider Advantage poll conducted 03 Nov 11: Cain 30; Romney 15; Gingrich 12; Paul 9; Bachmann 8; Perry 6; Huntsman 2 and Santorum 0 …

In New Hampshire, the CNN/Time poll conducted 20 – 25 Oct 11: Mittens 40; Cain 17; Paul 11; Gingrich 8; Huntsman 7; Perry 4; Bachmann 4 and Santorum 1 …

In South Carolina, the Rasmussen Reports poll conducted 01 Nov 11: Cain 33; Romney 23; Gingrich 15; Perry 9; Paul 5; Bachmann 2; Huntsman 1 and Santorum 1 …

In Florida, the Suffolk/7News poll conducted from 26 – 30 Oct 11: Romney 25; Cain 24; Gingrich 11; Perry 9; Paul 5; Huntsman 2; Bachmann and Santorum 1 …

In Nevada, the PPP (D) poll conducted from 20 – 23 Oct 11: Romney 29; Cain 28; Gingrich 15; Paul 7; Perry 6; Bachmann 3; Huntsman and Santorum 2 …

In the five states with the lead off primaries – or caucuses – Romney continues to hold onto a narrow lead over Cain 3-2 – but barely; Cain, although tied now with Romney, continues to hang in there nationally.

Concerning how the GOTP “candidates stack up against the President; according to the above mentioned NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl poll, if the general election were held today:

President Obama 49/Romney 43

President Obama 53/Cain 38

Rasmussen Reports conducted 05 – 06 Nov 11:

President Obama 44/Perry 35

President Obama 44/Gingrich 38

As always, no one else matters because none of the remaining candidates will ever win the GOTP nomination – on the bright side, they’re still providing entertainment …

So, if the GOTP clown car had finally stopped spinning, and the general election was held today, the Pizza Man or Mittens would be the nominee, and once again would’ve lost to President Obama.

GOTP group sends out email with image of President Obama shot through the head

Ah yes, it’s all in fun, an image of the president of the United states with a bullet hole through his head is a barrel of laughs, or at least it is to the Loudoun County, Va., Republican Tea Party (GOTP) Committee.

The message, with the subject line “Halloween 2011,” invited “supporters” to a community parade where “we are going to vanquish the zombies with clear thinking conservative principles and a truckload of Republican candy.”  It also features a caricature of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, a jack-o-lantern, and cartoons of zombies; the not-so-funny email was swiftly condemned by both conservative and liberal groups today for featuring the image

Interestingly enough the email was first reported by the blog Too Conservative, which said the group had gone “way too far” and should be reported to the U.S. Secret Service.

Mark Sell, chairman of the Loudoun County Republican Committee however disagrees, and attempted to explain away the email as a “light-hearted attempt to inject satire humor into the Halloween holiday.”

“Apparently, some individuals have interpreted an image of Barack Obama that appeared within the email as intending to portray the President as a victim of a violent crime.  Nothing could be further from the truth,” Sell said in a statement. “We deeply and sincerely apologize to the President and anyone who viewed the image if that was the impression that was left.”

So, if the image wasn’t meant to show the President as “a victim of a violent crime” then what was it supposed to be portraying, the President as an unfortunate victim of a tragic hunting accident with Dick Cheney?

No one seems to be buying the explanation however, at least with no one with any brains, and the Virginia GOTP Chairman Pat Mullins called the image “disgusting” and condemned its use “in the strongest possible terms.”

“We are in the process of contacting those responsible for the image to demand that they cease using it and immediately issue an apology,” Mullins said.

A Republican National Committee spokesman said the type of imagery in the Loudoun County GOTP email “has no place in politics.”

The Secret Service told ABC News the agency is aware of the incident but offered no further details. No doubt the agents are doubled over with laughter at the “light-hearted attempt to inject satire humor into the Halloween holiday”.

Problem is the Loudon County GOTP Committee has shown its colors, and they are racist all the way through; yes, I said racist. When you show an image of the first Black President with a bullet hole through his head and you’re the GOTP committee of a Virginia county what else is there? It isn’t humorous, it’s vulgar and racist.

West is very concerned about Iraq withdrawal?

So, Republican Tea Party (GOTP) Congressional darling Allen (Walter E. Kurtz) West is saying he’s “very concerned” about President Obama’s announcement that American troops in Iraq will be brought home before the end of the year, saying it was another “campaigner-in-chief decision.”

Problem for former United States Army Colonel West – who was forced to retire after discharging his weapon next to a prisoner’s head who he’d threatened to execute – is that nobody really cares what his opinion is; and of course the fact the agreement to withdraw troops was signed by the previous occupant of the White House – one of the few things Bush did right concerning the war in Iraq.

You’d think as a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Kurtz would know who’d signed what, but as a GOTP Congressman, facts just never seem to matter; no matter though – whether Bush or President Obama initiated the withdrawal, it’s the right thing to do. How long would conservatives have us stay there?

West’s a dolt who’s destined to be a one term wonder – he wants to portray himself as some wonderful military/national security expert but he’s somewhere just south of Looney Toonville, something he has in common with an awful lot of the Tea Party darlings in Congress.

GOTP blocks money for teachers, firefighters in Senate?

And so, Republican Tea Party (GOTP) Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has once again shown he means it when he says his “number one priority is to make sure Barrack Obama is a one term president”; just barely over a week since the President’s $447 billion jobs package was blocked in the U.S. Senate by the GOTP, one of the plan’s key components — which would’ve provided $35 billion to states and local governments to hire teachers and first responders — has suffered the same fate.

That’s right folks, the uber-conservative white bread GOTP senate members have decided we don’t need teachers and first responders; all you need is to home school your kids and a shot gun in your closet.

President Obama and his allies in the Senate promised to press ahead with separate votes on pieces of his failed $447 billion jobs measure, despite unanimous opposition from Republican Tea Party puppets, showing just how petty the GOTP members of the Congress are, and forcing them to each go on record opposing job creation; opposing teachers, firefighters and cops. Each senator who votes against the bills will have to eventually answer for their votes including one third of the Senate as early as November 2012 – that number includes the likes of Joe Lieberman (the famous turn coat liberal), Richard Lugar, Olympia Snowe, Scott Brown, Roger Wicker, Dean Heller, Ben Nelson (the moronic Democrat from Nebraska who somehow thinks he will escape unscathed), Bob Corker, Orrin Hatch (who clearly needs to retire) and John Barrasso.

Now granted, most of the GOTP types are smug in the confidence they’re almost untouchable, but some are not; certainly Corker, who barely beat Harold Ford Jr. for the seat, is very vulnerable; Dean Heller, who replaced John Ensign after he resigned, has to tell his fellow Nevadans who are hard pressed by the economy why he opposes job creation; Scott Brown, who narrowly won the former late Sen. Ted Kennedy’s seat in a special election is probably the most likely to go down as he will be facing tough opposition from Elizabeth Warren. Certainly the Democratic Party should withdraw all support from Nelson, and should go hunting for a strong Democratic candidate to challenge him; one thing the country doesn’t need right now are DINOs (Democrats in name only) in the Senate.

So, why did all 47 GOTP, one brain damaged Independent and two obtuse Democratic senators vote against allowing the bill to proceed to a full debate? Why, they argued that temporary stimulus dollars for state and local government would do little to bolster the private sector, and so we’ll just screw those no good teachers, fire fighters and police officers who everyone knows are overpaid.

But the biggest reason for opposing the bill is because the uber-conservatives are against imposing a 0.5 percent surtax on million-dollar incomes to pay for the aid. They contended that inclusion of a tax increase signaled that the vote was intended as a campaign tool and was not a serious effort to find bipartisan agreement on spurring job growth.

So, the whole charade of needing to pay for any funding is now out the window? Or was it really because you can’t stand to see any tax increases on those poor job creators?

President Obama told fire fighters at a rally in Chesterfield, Va., “If they vote against these proposals, if they say no to steps we know that will put people back to work right now, they’re not going to have to answer to me. They’re going to have to answer to you.”

Now what needs to happen is for the Democratic Party to flood markets with commercials of burning homes and overcrowded classrooms and then place the blame for both squarely on the shoulders of the GOTP senators who voted against the bill. The Party needs to hit the conservative candidates just as hard – if not harder – then they hit Democratic candidates. Hit them hard, and then hit them continually until they are beaten.

Democratic Party leaders are planning to hold votes on other elements of the American Jobs Act in coming weeks, including money for building roads and schools, tax credits for businesses that hire veterans and the long-term unemployed, an extension of benefits for unemployed workers and an extension of a payroll tax holiday.

Let the Republican Tea Party senators be hoisted on their own petards!

U.S. Troops to Leave Iraq by Year’s End?

The New York Times is reporting President Obama has announced that the last American soldier would leave Iraq by the end of the year, bringing to an end the nearly nine-year Bush/Cheney pre-emptive war which has cost the country 4,479 dead, 32,200 wounded and approximately $1 trillion. The presumptive cause for invading nearly a decade ago was the threat Iraq was developing Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) – no evidence was ever found to support the claim.

The President said as of 1 Jan 12, the United States and Iraq would begin “a normal relationship between two sovereign nations, and equal partnership based on mutual interest and mutual respect.”

During a videoconference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, the President told him of the administration’s decision, which grows out of an inability of the United States and Iraq to come to an agreement on leaving a few thousand military trainers in the country.

Reportedly, the United States had earlier agreed to exit Iraq by the end of the year and leave 3,000 to 5,000 troops in Iraq as trainers, with some members of Congress advocating for retaining a reduced fighting force as well. But after Iraq’s Parliament refused an American demand to give soldiers immunity from legal prosecution, the Pentagon changed its plans in recent weeks, scaling back even that meager number.

President Obama said, “As I told Prime Minister Maliki, we will continue discussions on how we might help Iraq train and equip its forces — again, just as we offer training and assistance to countries around the world.  After all, there will be some difficult days ahead for Iraq, and the United States will continue to have an interest in an Iraq that is stable, secure and self-reliant.”

The President’s announcement fulfills a pledge he made during the 2008 campaign to wind down the war.

“After nearly nine years, America’s war in Iraq will be over,” he declared in the White House briefing room. “Over the next two months, our troops in Iraq, tens of thousands of them, will pack up their gear and board convoys for the journey home.” They will be joining approximately 100,000 others, he added, who have already been withdrawn from the country.

“The last American soldiers will cross the border out of Iraq with their heads held high, proud of their success and knowing that the American people stand united in their support for our troops,” the President said. “That is how America’s military efforts in Iraq will end.”

“Here at home, the coming months will be another season of homecoming,” Mr. Obama said. “Across America, our servicemen and women will be reunited with their families. Today, I can say our troops in Iraq will definitely be home for the holidays.”

Following such a long anticipated announcement there’s really nothing else to say, except, “Thank you Mr. President”.

McCain thanks the French, British and everyone but the President for Qaddafi overthrow?

Republican Tea Party (GOTP) Senator – and one time GOTP once and future king, John McCain, gave credit to everyone in the world for the death of ousted Libyan leader Muammar el-Qaddafi, but offered scorn and criticism for President Obama.

Appearing on CNN’s American Morning, McCain said, “If the United States had used the full weight of our air power, this conflict would have been over long ago; I want to thank the British, French, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, who played a key leadership role while we led from behind.”

He added in Syria, while he doesn’t see “the military scenario,” the United States “certainly could be doing a lot more to provide moral support to the Syrian opposition, just as we did not do when the Iranians rose up.”

McCain further criticized the President on the ongoing troop withdrawals from Iraq and Afghanistan. Having troops leave Iraq puts the country “in significant danger of having more problems than they otherwise would have,” McCain said, arguing that withdrawal could leave Iraq vulnerable to Iranian influence.

“I can tell you, from traveling the world, that in the world they believe the United States is withdrawing and is weakening,” he said.

Yeah, I’m sure that’s exactly what the world’s believing Senator; especially after Seal Team Six invaded Pakistan and put two rounds into Osama Bin Laden’s head; the Air Force shot a missile into Anwar al-Awlaki’s SUV; and Naval air superiority blew Qaddafi’s Army to smithereens; not to mention the bunker busters the President gave to Israel (after Bush refused to do so).

What the world’s beginning to believe Senator is it’s far past time for you to ride off into the sunset – news flash Sparky! You lost the election, and nobody outside of your own addled mind cares what your view is. If you’d won in 2008 we’d have invaded Iran by now, would still have 100,000 + troops in Iraq, Bin Laden would still be laughing at us and Sarah Palin would’ve smothered you with a pillow.

The President‘s leadership on Libya was exactly right.

Latest 2012 Presidential Polls – 20 Oct 11 Edition

A new Associated Press/GfK poll conducted 13 – 17 Oct 11 has been released concerning the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) nominating circus; the current poll results are:

Mittens Romney 30; Herman “Pizza Man” Cain 26; Reverend Rick Perry 13; Ronny Paul 8; Newter Gingrich 7; Michele “Krazy” Bachmann 4; Jon “I can’t believe it’s not butter” Huntsman and Ricky “The Ric” Santorum 2

The Pizza Man is still riding high in the polls. But now appears to be slipping after being tied with Romney; Perry’s continues to drop into second tier status with Newter; Paul and Krazy continue sharing a rubber room in political purgatory; while Huntsman and Santorum are still consistently bringing up the rear.

In Iowa, a new Insider Advantage poll conducted 16 Oct 11: Cain 26; Romney 18; Gingrich 12; Bachmann 11; Paul 10; Perry 6; Huntsman 1 and Santorum 0 …

In New Hampshire, the Insider Advantage poll conducted 16 Oct 11 shows Mittens’ lead being cut into a little by Cain; poll results: Mittens 39; Cain 24; Paul 11; Gingrich, Huntsman and Bachmann 5; Perry 2 and Santorum and Huntsman 0.

In South Carolina, the Insider Advantage poll conducted 16 Oct 11 shows the “Pizza Man” jumping way out ahead of Mittens: Cain 32; Romney 16; Perry 12; Gingrich 8; Paul 7; Bachmann 6; Huntsman 1 and Santorum 0.

So, in the three states polling right now Cain leads Romney 2-1 (Iowa and South Carolina) while Mittens leads in New Hampshire, right now it doesn’t look good for Romney but it’s highly doubtful Cain can stay on top.

According to the new Associated Press/GfK poll conducted 13 – 17 Oct 11, if the general election were held today:

President Obama 48/Romney 45

President Obama 49/Cain 43

President Obama 51/Perry 42

And no one else matters:

President Obama /Gingrich

President Obama /Paul

President Obama /Bachmann

President Obama /Santorum

President Obama/Huntsman

Currently there are only three serious GOTP candidates, and everyone else is gobbling up air at the debates; but, they are making things entertaining …

Pizza Man continues to annoy Mittens by being anywhere close to the top, much less tied for first –Mittens and the others tore into Cain during this week’s CNN debate and he didn’t fair very well against their criticism, we’ll see if he can somehow overcome his lagging effort.

If the GOTP clown car had finally stopped spinning, and the general election was held today, Mittens would now be the GOTP candidate, and would have still lost to President Obama.

President Obama’s record on Israel

During this week’s CNN Republican Tea Party (GOTP) debate, Michele “Krazy” Bachmann made the absurd claim that, “The biggest problem with this administration and foreign policy is that President Obama is the first president since Israel declared her sovereignty (to) put daylight between the United States and Israel.”

Krazy’s statement doesn’t support the facts; President Obama, late in 2009, transferred 55 bunker-buster 5,000 pound bombs to Israel putting it in the perfect position to take out Iran’s buried nuclear facilities; or perhaps to target Hezbollah’s buried bunkers in Lebanon at its earliest convenience (https://thelibertytree.wordpress.com/2011/09/26/obama-gave-israel-bunker-busters/ ).

Ever since he was elected, conservative talking heads have claimed President Obama was pro-Palestine, but just a month ago the President led the charge in the United Nations (UN) to deny the creation of a Palestinian state, and now it turns out he gave Israel the capability to defend itself in the event Iran continues its nuclear program.

It’s time for the whiny GOTP presidential hopefuls to shut their collective pie holes when it comes to the President’s stance on Israel; while Bush equivocated Obama acted.

Under President Clinton aid to Israel was $4,132,000,000 but under the Bush administration aid to Israel steadily declined to $2,424,000,000; under President Obama aid to Israel is on the rise once again $2,550,000,000 in 2009 and $2,770,000,000 in 2010 with continued increase expected through FY 12.

So, which party supports Israel? Under President Clinton aid to Israel reached its highest point and then was steadily cut under Bush (even though we were fighting the War on Terror), but has risen again under President Obama; Bush refused to give bunker busters to Israel, but President Obama has given them. Facts don’t lie, but GOTP presidential candidates – like Bachmann – clearly do …

Latest 2012 Presidential Polls (14 Oct 11 Edition)

A new Rasmussen Reports poll conducted 12 Oct 11 has been released concerning the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) nominating circus; there are no big surprises except it validates Cain is a real contender – for now – and everyone (Gingrich, Perry, Paul, Bachmann, Santorum and Huntsman) except Romney is out of the contest.

The current Rasmussen Reports poll results are:

Herman “Pizza Man” Cain 29; Mittens Romney 29; Newter Gingrich 10; Reverend Rick Perry 9; Ronny Paul 5; Michele “Krazy” Bachmann 4; Jon “I can’t believe it’s not butter” Huntsman and Ricky “The Ric” Santorum 2

What’s really interesting with this poll from Rasmussen (which notoriously slants to the far right) is who does Rasmussen want to win it all? The Pizza Man is still riding high at the end of the week tied with Crown Prince Mittens perhaps still proving he’s more than just Palin’s “flavor of the week”; Perry’s plummeted off the scope, along with Newter (who was never a serious contender); Paul and Krazy continue sharing a rubber room in political purgatory; while Huntsman and Santorum are still consistently bringing up the rear.

In Iowa, there’s no change; the PPP (D) poll conducted from 07 – 10 Oct 11: Cain 30; Romney 22; Paul 10; Perry 9; Bachmann and Gingrich both 8; Santorum 5 and Huntsman 1…

A new Magellan Strategies (R) poll conducted 12 – 13 Oct 11 shows Mittens pulling a little further in the lead in New Hampshire (news is NH primary may move up to as early as 3 December to counter Florida’s attempt to become the first primary); the Magellan Strategies (R) poll results: Mittens 41; Cain 20; Paul 10; Gingrich and Huntsman 6; Bachmann 4; Perry and Santorum 2 while Gary Johnson trails with 1.

No change since adding South Carolina Primary this week – a poll conducted by Winthrop from 11 – 18 Sep 11 shows a very tight race up front: Perry 31; Romney 27; Cain 8; Gingrich 5; Bachmann and Paul 4; Huntsman and Santorum both 2.

According to a new Time poll conducted 9 – 10 Oct 11, if the general election were held today:

President Obama 48/Romney 44

President Obama 50/Cain 38

President Obama 51/Perry 40

The PPP (D) poll conducted 7 – 10 Oct 11

President Obama 50/Gingrich 39

President Obama 47/Paul 39

President Obama 50/Bachmann 38

Still can’t fathom why Rasmussen Reports conducted a poll 2 – 3 Oct 11 to see how Santorum was doing:

President Obama 45/Santorum 34

No new results concerning Huntsman

President Obama/Huntsman

It’s still appears that where a match up with the President is concerned pollsters appear to have decided Huntsman’s done (was he ever in it?); of course, truth be told, so are Santorum, Bachmann, Perry, Paul and Gingrich. Sometime soon we’ll begin to see these “candidates” begin to drop out as they simply won’t have the funding necessary to continue. There’s a chance Bachmann is egotistical and “Krazy” enough to try for a third party run, but the others will pack it in and support whoever wins.

Pizza Man continues to annoy Mittens by being anywhere close to the top, much less tied for first – look for Mittens and the others to really go after Cain in the next debate as none of them want to see him as the nominee.

So, if the GOTP clown car had finally stopped spinning, and the general election was held today, Pizza Man or Mittens would now be the GOTP candidate, and would have lost to President Obama.
