Latest 2012 Presidential Polls – 09 April 12 Edition

So, not only have conservative Wisconsinites trudged to their polling places and cast votes for their “favorite” candidate in their state’s “Winner Take All” Republican Tea Party (GOTP) Primary (42 delegates), but also DC residents (19 delegates) and Marylanders (37 delegates) also cast votes on 3 Apr 12. For Richard John Santorum it may have been his last real stand as Willard Mitt Romney’s now crossed the half way mark on his path to possibly, maybe, supposedly eventual victory.

In the last round of primary battles: Romney walked away victorious in all three virtually “winner take all” primaries, amassing 83 delegates to Santorum’s 6; Gingrich and Uncle Ron earned zero delegates.

The remaining primaries tend to favor Romney, but if Santorum can simply keep Willard from winning more than 33% of the delegates in each and thus prevent him from winning the nomination outright, perhaps he can send everything into a brokered convention and somehow come out on top; of course his “other” strategy may simply be to weaken Romney enough that he loses to President Obama in the general election making it easier for Santorum to run again in 2016 as Willard’s political career will be effectually over. For Santorum he could then point to how another moderate was beaten by the Democratic Party, and better place himself in contention.

The regular season primary records for the GOTP “Confederacy of Dunces” currently stands: Romney 21; Santorum 10; Gingrich 2 and “What’s His Name” 0.

The GOTP Delegate Count (1,144 needed to win) to date is: Romney 566; Santorum 263; Gingrich 140 and Paul 67.

The current GOTP Popular Vote Count is:

Romney 4,128,980

Santorum 2,850,633

Gingrich 2,212,048

Paul 1,079,897

Yes, while it remains true Willard’s leading with 4,128,998 the really harsh reality is more votes have still been cast for anyone but him; total of all other votes cast = 6,142,578; yeah he may be winning, but at the end of the day, when he realizes more fellow conservatives would rather have anyone but him, it still sucks to be Mitt.

Nationally, the GOTP Nomination according to the latest Gallup Tracking poll of registered voters conducted 3 – 7 Apr 12: Romney 42; Santorum 25; Paul 11 and Gingrich 9 with 12% unconvinced any of these guys can do the job.

So, how do the Political Marx Brothers stack up against the President? The latest Rasmussen Tracking poll of registered voters conducted 6 – 8 Apr 12; if the general election were held today:

President Obama 46/Romney 44

President Obama 47/Santorum 41

No one cares how Harpo and Groucho would fare because they’re not even close …

So, as in the many weeks since this wild ride began, if the GOTP clown car had finally came to a wild spinning stop, and the general election was held today, Willard Mitt Romney would be the GOTP nominee, and he’d lose to President Obama in the general election.

How big would Willard lose? Well, if the General Election were held today, the Electoral College totals based on current poll numbers:

Take our country back?

I woke up this morning to beautiful spring sunshine; I knelt down next to my bed and thanked my Heavenly Father for watching over my family and for all the blessings He has given me, and asked for protection and guidance through the day; then I picked my scriptures and studied for about 15 or 20 minutes.

I went outside, noting there were no police officers waiting to haul me off to jail, and saw my flag was still in its traditional spot, my cars were still in my driveway, my house was still where I’d left it, and I heard the music of birds chirping, people saying goodbyes to family members as they left for work or school and enjoyed the warm sunshine. I noticed there were neatly rolled up newspapers in my neighbor’s driveways.

I went back inside, and just for fun, checked to see my fire arms were still safely in place and that my pantry still had food in it and then looked around to ensure no soldiers were sleeping uninvited in any of the bedrooms or in my den or living room; then I turned on my computer and read the morning news, where I noticed another half dozen protests in Wisconsin, New York, Oakland … I checked my emails, replying to one addressing a concern from one of my members of Congress, and then I commented on a myriad of political topics on blogs and Facebook. I also checked my bank statements, purchased some books, and watched an amusing video or two.

I hear a lot of “discussion” about “taking our country back”, about coercion and usurpation, but I’m still trying to find which of my “liberties” has been seized by the big, bad, federal government?

Harvard grad Romney says the President spent too much time there?

According to news reports Republican Tea Party (GOTP) “presumptive” presidential candidate Willard Mitt Romney is accusing President Obama of having spent “too much time at Harvard“.

It’s pretty funny considering Willard’s also a fellow Harvard graduate, and actually spent more time there than the President.

But hey class, let’s look at the facts; according to records, Willard enrolled in a four-year program at Harvard in 1971, eventually earning a joint JD and MBA and graduating cum laude – Latin meaning “with honor” – in 1975. President Obama began attending Harvard Law School in 1988, where he spent three years, eventually becoming president of the Harvard Law Review before graduating magna cum laude – Latin meaning “with great honor” – and receiving his JD in 1991. The President graduated with higher honors than Willard, and did it in less time; of course Willard earned an MBA with that additional year, but clearly math wasn’t part of his business degree, since four is greater than three.

It’s funny how Willard’s repeatedly trying to paint the President as an ivory tower elitist, first as though that’s a bad thing, and second when he’s one, and spent more time there than the President.

Was he for an ivy league education before he was against it? It’s OK for some, but not for others?

Just one more oops moment for the Romney campaign; someone on Willard’s staff really should be checking these kind of facts before allowing the candidate to repeatedly look like a moron – just saying.

And while we’re on this topic, there’s a big difference between a young black man from a lower middle class single parent family working his way to Harvard, and the rich white kid who has it handed to him; so, I’m sorry, who’s the “elitist” Willard?

President Obama will attack Romney’s faith?

If you needed proof it’s time for Republican Tea Party (GOTP) Senator Orrin Hatch to retire, look no further than his remarks “warning” supporters that President Obama might attack GOTP presidential “yes I’ll say whatever to be your nominee” hopeful Willard Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith in the general election.

And the President will do this because Romney isn’t already a politically target rich environment when it comes to his continual minute-by-minute flip flopping on every issue from A to Z? Really Senator, that’s the best ya got?

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman, Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz is describing that suggestion as “preposterous” and “utter nonsense.”

“Let’s remember that President Obama has had so many things hurled at him – birth certificate questions, whether he is or is not a Christian,” Wasserman Schultz said. “For them to suggest that religion will be injected by President Obama and the Democratic Party, I mean, I think they need to take a look inward at the accusations that their party and their supporters have hurled before they take that step.”

Hatch made the remark in response to a question at a political event being held in – wait for it – northern Utah; but that wasn’t enough for the “senior” senator, he felt he needed to use the line a second time after a debate in Draper, Utah.

“For them to say they aren’t going to smear Mitt Romney is bologna,” Hatch said. “It’s way out of bounds, but that’s what is going to happen.”

First, someone needs to help the Senator understand it’s been his boy – Mitt – who’s been smearing his opponents, including the President, pretty much nonstop for the last couple of months; and second, it’s been the conservatives of the GOTP who’ve been hitting Willard on being a Mormon. It’s a pretty desperate attempt by a senator trying to grab some headlines. More fear mongering and gloom and doom from the party that brought you 9-11, Afghanistan, Iraq and the worse economic decline since the great depression. The GOTP knows one song, gloom, gloom and when that doesn’t work, more gloom.

Hatch’s assertions aren’t sitting particularly well with fellow Latter-day Saints who are Democrats, said Craig Janis, who’s working for Utah Democratic Party to recruit LDS Church members.

“Divisive and unsubstantiated claims about religion have no place in our debate,” Janis said. “This is a country that was founded on the principles of respect and freedom for religion … we hope that, going forward, Senator Hatch will remember that, as a statesman, he is held to a higher standard of conduct, and will choose his words more carefully.”

Unfortunately Senator Hatch was scared out of his wits two years ago when the Tea Party ousted his longtime fellow conservative Bob Bennett, and now he’s playing their tune; let’s see how long it takes for him to also embrace the birther notions as well; it’s time to retire Senator, you’re embarrassing yourself, your family, your state and your fellow Latter-day Saints. There’s no room for this kind of vitriol, and frankly sir I used to think better of you.

FOX “News” anchor suggests President Obama threatened Chelsea Clinton’s Life?

So-called “fair and balanced” FOX “News” has a huge credibility problem; it seems weekend anchor Heather Childers twittered a link to a story from an uber-conservative blog suggesting the Obama campaign may have threatened to murder Chelsea Clinton during the 2008 presidential campaign.

Childers reportedly tweeted a blog post from godfatherpolitics.com titled, “Did Barack Obama Campaign Threaten Life of Chelsea Clinton to Keep Parents Silent on Obama’s Ineligibility?”

The “article” suggests someone “associated” with the President’s 2008 election campaign threatened to kill Chelsea Clinton should President Clinton talk about “Obama’s birth certificate or lack thereof.”

Because a junior senator from Illinois could do that and get away with it; are you serious? Yeah the United States Secret Service which still protects former President Clinton and his family would’ve just gone along with that. Of course the blog (rag) doesn’t offer anything as proof of this claim, but you don’t have to do that in right-wing world.

So, Childers’ source for her tweet, how credible is it, and what are some of the other riveting headlines from godfatherpolitics.com?

Well, how about “President Obama Channels Joseph Stalin and Attacks Supreme Court Justices”?

Or try this one, “Alabama Supreme Court Justice Says Barack Obama Birth Certificate Would Not Stand Up in Court.”

Why do I envision a creepy kid sitting on a porch playing a banjo when I read stuff like this?

This is absurdity run amok and of course a FOX “News” employee has picked up the ball and run with it. Why? Because the folks at FOX “News” are the biggest sufferers of Obama Derangement Syndrome (ODS) and the biggest “legitimate” news organization to perpetuate far-right conspiracy theories such as the birther craze.

FOX “News” is anything but a legitimate news organization and it’s the farthest thing from being “fair and balanced”. I think of my Dad’s advice that when a company trumpets something loud and long it’s usually its weakest point.

FOX is where uber-conservatives go to get their daily fill of propaganda and “news”; of course that’s all interspersed with extremely heavy doses of right wing talk radio throughout the day from the likes of Rush “she’s a slut” Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Is it any wonder in a recent poll of Americans on the question of keeping troops in Afghanistan 75% were opposed while 25% were in favor of it; what’s the rough percentage of FOX viewers? Yep, you guessed it, about 25%.

Childers should be sent packing, but of course knowing FOX she’ll probably get her own weeknight prime time show for her excellence in broadcast journalism.

Latest 2012 Presidential Polls – (pre-Wisconsin Primary) 2 April 12 Edition

So, the topsy turvy world known as the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) presidential primary may finally be coming to a close (or not). Tomorrow conservative Wisconsinites will trudge to their polling places and cast votes for their “favorite” candidate in their state’s Winner Take All Primary with its 42 delegates. For Richard John Santorum this is one of his final – if not the final – opportunities to stick it to Willard Mitt Romney.

Not an easy thing to do since the latest PPP (D) poll results of likely voters conducted 31 Mar – 1 Apr 12 is anything but rosy for him: Romney 43; Santorum 36; Paul 11 and Gingrich 8.

After Wisconsin the remaining primaries tend to favor Romney, but if Santorum can simply keep Willard from winning more than an averaged 33% of the delegates and thus prevent him from winning the nomination outright, perhaps he can send everything into a brokered convention and somehow come out on top; of course his “other” strategy may simply be to weaken Romney enough that he loses to President Obama making it easier for Santorum to run again in 2016 as Willard’s political career will be effectually over.

The regular season primary records for the Confederacy of Dunces stands: Romney 21; Santorum 10; Gingrich 2 and “What’s His Name” 0.

The GOTP Delegate Count (1,144 needed to win) to date is: Romney 566; Santorum 263; Gingrich 140 and Paul 67.

The current GOTP Popular Vote Count is:

Romney 4,128,980

Santorum 2,850,633

Gingrich 2,212,048

Paul 1,079,897

Yes, while it remains true Willard’s leading with 4,128,9980 the harsh reality is more votes have still been cast for anyone but him; total of all other votes cast = 6,142,578; yeah he may be winning but when you realize more fellow conservatives would rather have anyone but you, it still sucks to be Mitt.

Nationally, the GOTP Nomination according to the latest Gallup Tracking poll of registered voters conducted 28 Mar – 1 Apr 12: Romney 43; Santorum 25; Gingrich 11 and Paul 10 with 11% unconvinced any of these guys can do the job.

So, how do the four Political Marx Brothers stack up against the President? The latest USA Today/Gallup poll of registered voters conducted 25 – 26 Mar 12; if the general election were held today:

President Obama 49/Romney 45

President Obama 51/Santorum 43

One more time, if the GOTP clown car had finally came to a wild spinning stop, and the general election was held today, Willard Mitt Romney would be the GOTP nominee, and he’d lose to President Obama in the general election.

How big would Willard lose? Well, if the General Election were held today, the Electoral College totals based on current poll numbers:
