Latest 2020 Presidential Polls – 27 October 2020

27 Oct

Seven days (one week) to go until Election Day and Vice President Joe Biden is continuing to lead Donald Trump in all current polling. The former Vice-president continues to lead Trump by double digits leading into the final week of the 2020 campaign. The country continues spiking upward with covid-19 cases with more than 8,708,533 Americans confirmed to have contracted the virus, with more than 225,792 deaths. Trump continues proclaiming himself “immune” to covid, and even though the country is in the midst of a huge spike, Trump continues to claim the country has turned the corner. Trump continues attacking medical experts and scientists as well as holding his Nuremberg rallies without requiring masks or social distancing. In the past week he tried to paint Joe Biden as somehow not being fit for office because he would “listen to the scientists.”

So, with a mere seven days until November 3rd, where do we stand?

In national polling, according to the latest USC Dornsife Poll, conducted 13-26 October 2020, of 5,293 likely voters:

Biden 54%
Trump 42%

The latest CNBC/Hart Research/Public Opinion Strategies Poll, conducted 21-24 October 2020 of 800 registered voters, has the race lining up like this:

Biden 51%
Trump 40%

In the YouGov Poll, conducted from 23-25 October 2020 of 1,350 likely voters:

Biden 54%
Trump 42%

Running election simulations, Biden beats Trump 16 out of 20 times, with Trump winning four times.

Biden 416/Trump 122
Biden 377/Trump 161
Biden 397/Trump 141
Biden 392/Trump 146
Biden256/Trump 282

Biden 334/Trump 204
Biden 375/Trump 163
Biden 304/Trump 234
Biden228/Trump 310
Biden250/Trump 288

Biden 320/Trump 218
Biden 323/Trump 215
Biden 428/Trump 110
Biden 384/Trump 154
Biden235/Trump 303

Biden 332/Trump 206
Biden 416/Trump 122
Biden 317/Trump 221
Biden 342/Trump 196
Biden 307/Trump 231

As far as the White House’s national race is concerned, according to recent state polling data available, if the election was today, odds are that Vice President Joe Biden would be the 46th President of the United States. At the same time, Trump, who forever remains the third impeached president in U.S. history, will go down as one of the incontrovertibly cheap and vulgar individuals to ever sit in the Oval Office.
