Latest 2012 Presidential Polls – 10 Feb 12 (pre-Maine Caucus Conclusion) Edition

The current regular season records for the remaining four GOTP candidates are Santorum 4, Romney 3, Gingrich 1 and Paul 0; CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!? Santorum pulled the trifecta – the hat-trick! He swept all three on Tuesday!

Ricky pulled the surprise upset in the Colorado Non-binding Caucus with 40.2% of the vote and 13 delegates; Romney got 34.9% of the vote picking up 6; Gingrich got 12.8% and picked up 2 delegates, while Paul polled 11.8% and won a whopping 1 delegate.

Ricky also dominated in the Minnesota Non-binding Caucus where he buried Mittens with 45% and 13 delegates. Romney actually placed third behind Ron Paul; Paul garnered 27.1% of the vote and 4 delegates; Mittens won 2 whole delegates with an astounding 16.9% of the vote; placing a dismal last was Newton Leroy who took 10.8% of the vote for 1delegate.

In Missouri’s Primary – which awarded no delegates; those will be decided later with caucuses – Rick surged to victory (sending the opposition packing) with 55.2% of the vote; Romney25.3% and Paul came in third with 12.2%. Gingrich – the dimwitted former Speaker – managed not to be on the Missouri ballot.

Maine’s – week long – Non-binding Caucus with 24 Delegates concludes tomorrow and the last PPP (D) poll of registered voters conducted way back in October is likely to be a lot closer – especially where Santorum’s concerned, charging hard from behind Romney.

Michigan’s Hybrid Primary with 30 Delegates – 28 Feb 12; last Rasmussen Reports poll of likely voters conducted 01 Feb 12: Romney 38; Gingrich 23; Santorum 17 and Paul 14 with 8% undecided.

Arizona Winner Take All Primary with 29 delegates – 28 Feb 12; last Rasmussen Reports poll of likely voters conducted 01 Feb 12: Romney 48; Gingrich 24; Santorum 13 and Paul 6 with 9% undecided.

Super Tuesday (6 Mar 12)

Georgia Proportional Primary with 76 delegates; SurveyUSA poll of likely voters conducted 01 – 02 Feb 12: Gingrich 45; Romney 32; Santorum 9 and Paul 8 with 6% undecided.

Oklahoma Proportional Primary with 43 delegates; Sooner Poll of registered voters conducted 17 Nov – 16 Dec 11: Gingrich 33; Romney 14; Paul 4 and Santorum 2 with 47% undecided.

Massachusetts Proportional Primary with 41 delegates; PPP (D) poll of registered voters conducted 16 – 18 Sep 11: Romney 50; Gingrich and Paul 5 and Santorum 1 with 44% undecided

Vermont Hybrid Primary with 17 delegates; PPP (D) poll of registered voters conducted 28 – 31 Jul 11: Romney 26; Paul 7 and Gingrich 6 with 61% undecided

The Current GOTP Delegate Count is: Romney 90; Santorum 44; Gingrich 32 and Paul 13. An interesting thought is if Gingrich and Paul were to step out and throw their delegates to Santorum, there’d be a real contest; but the same could be said if Santorum did the same for Newt; Paul is inconsequential as he’s not a serious contender – meaning he has a better chance of contracting small pox than of winning the GOTP nomination, and frankly Newt’s heading that way now too.

It was FDR who asked us to do that, in honor of the blood that was being shed by our sons and daughters in far-off places.”

Michele Bachmann thinks she was the “Perfect Candidate”?

The Huffington Post’s reporting that former Republican Tea Party (GOTP) presidential “never had a prayer of being the” candidate Michele “Krazy” Bachmann is trying to stay relevant weighing in on the remaining horses in the GOTP race declaring she – above all the others – “was the perfect candidate,” even after having her political butt handed to her in every debate and in every primary,

Asked by Bloomberg TV’s Al Hunt who of the remaining four candidates was the “most conservative,” Bachmann responded by including herself in the mix.

“I was. I was the perfect candidate,” Krazy answered absolutely straight faced. “America had their chance with the perfect candidate. But any of our candidates are going to be acceptable to the American people, and more than acceptable, because right now, if you look at the Gallup map that came out this week, President Obama is in big trouble all across the country.”

Clearly she hasn’t bothered to take the time to look at any honest electoral map, or she wouldn’t be so fast to say that, but then again this is Krazy, and she declared over and over again how any of the candidates could beat the President.

Bachmann also said she was happy with what the remaining candidates were saying on the issues she’d tried so hard to promote during her ill-fated run for the prize.

“Well, all of the candidates that remain — there’s four candidates that remain, and they are all for repealing Obamacare. They’re all for repealing Dodd-Frank. And I’m very grateful that they are.” she said.

Bachman’s crazy, she’s a loon and like Palin has no real credentials to have ever thought she belonged in the big leagues; she’s a mediocre Congresswoman who isn’t playing with a full deck, and her shrill voice isn’t missed on the debate stage.

President would be frightened to debate Newt?

Just when you thought she’s slinked back into the hinterlands of the Great White North, former Republican Tea Party (GOTP) Queen, Sarah Palin continues to show her admiration for GOTP presidential has been Newton Leroy Gingrich, claiming he’s the one candidate President Barack Obama “would really fear having to debate.”

Of course this is also the woman Katie Couric stumped with such infamous “gotcha” questions as, “Name one Supreme Court decision you have a problem with”, and “What do you read to keep you informed”? But, hey, she can see Russia, and that makes her a foreign policy expert, at least where the “reds” were concerned.

In a recent “discussion” with Greta Van Susteren of FOX PAC (meaning the toughest question she was likely to face would be what she had for breakfast that morning), Palin said the President shouldn’t be looking to debating Willard Mittens Romney, because Newton would be the real danger in a debate.

“Well, I think that Newt Gingrich would be the toughest debater, debating ideas and solutions, and his experience as one who had learned through the Reagan revolution what true conservatism is, and how it is that with foreign policy we need to provide that peace through strength in our world, and how it is that we need to balance budgets and we need to slash budgets because we are going bankrupt, all those things that Newt has talked about in his campaign,” Palin said.

“I think that he could most brightly contrast himself against what Obama’s failed policies have done to this country through debates. So that’s why I say that Obama, I believe, would really fear having to debate Newt Gingrich.”

There’s just one major problem in the Ice Queen’s thinking, President Obama is never going to face Newton in a debate. In fact, Palin’s in La-La Land; her so-called “conservative” hero’s never going to win the nomination, and he never was; he’s a disgraced ex-Speaker, and serial adulterer and the rank and file of the GOP knows this. He’s not remotely electable, and outside of the “Deep South” – or apparently Alaska – where going to Cracker Barrel is a big night on the town, he polls horribly.

Please Sarah, do the decent – and humane thing – and return to the political obscurity from whence John McCain plucked you. Like Newt you’re not remotely qualified to be president, and you’re only slightly less qualified to recommend who is.
