And then there were seven – Cain says good-bye

The Associated Press (AP) is reporting Republican Tea Party (GOTP) wannabe Herman Cain’s suspending his bid for the Republican presidential nomination to avoid continued news coverage of allegations of sexual misconduct that’s hurtful to his family.

“I am suspending my presidential campaign because of the continued distractions and the continued hurt caused on me and my family,” Cain told several hundred supporters gathered at what was to have been the opening of his national campaign headquarters.

So, Cain’s dropping out because of the evil media’s coverage of the sexual allegations, but not because of his own misconduct?

Cain’s announcement came five days after an Atlanta-area woman claimed she and Cain had an affair for more than a decade, a claim which followed several allegations of sexual harassment against him.

“But because of these false and unproved accusations, it has paid and had a tremendous painful price on my family,” Cain said, with his wife, Gloria, standing behind him on the stage.

“Now here’s why it hurts – because my wife, my family and I, we know that those false and unproved allegations are not true; so one of the first declarations that I want to make to you today is that I am at peace with my God. I am at peace with my wife. And she is at peace with me.

And with that Herman “Pizza Man” Cain becomes a footnote to the 2012 GOTP Presidential primary season; good-bye Herman you’ve provided us all with hours of rib tickling entertainment.

The campaign’s all but over?

The Associated Press (AP) is reporting that former Republican Tea Party (GOTP) frontrunner Herman “Pizza Man” Cain is still campaigning for president; but anyone with an ounce of sense – which rules out both Cain and Michele Bachmann – knows his White House bid is all but over.

“His chance at winning the presidency are effectively zero,” said Dave Welch, a Republican Tea Party strategist who worked on both of John McCain’s presidential bids.

That’s an interesting proposition Mr. Welch, except Cain’s chances of winning the White House have always been effectively zero.

One of the “no duh” moments in this so-called campaign came today when the Pizza Man told the New Hampshire Union Leader that his wife, Gloria, didn’t know he was providing the 46-year-old Atlanta-area businesswoman with money for “month-to-month bills and expenses.”

And, guess what? Cain also said, his wife didn’t know of what he called a “friendship” with White until she said publicly that she had a casual 13-year affair with Cain that ended about eight months ago.

“I’m still backing him, but I definitely think it’s a bigger and bigger mountain to climb,” Florida state Rep. Carlos Trujillo said after White emerged. “It’s going to be difficult to make up that ground in so short an amount of time.”

Difficult?! Difficult?! Were dropped as a child; repeatedly?!

First, if he’d ever been a real candidate – meaning he had a snow ball’s chance of winning – it’d be impossible after the sexual harassment charges and a woman saying she’d had a 13 year affair with him’ second, since he was never a serious candidate, there was never a chance, even less than a snow ball’s chance. Seriously, what’s fetching wrong with you people?!

Cain’s said he’s reassessing and re-evaluating whether to remain in the race and will only make that decision after speaking face-to-face with his wife of 42 years.

He should’ve said after he speaking to his wives’ attorney; good luck with that conversation.

“Turn out the lights, there’s never been a party – it seems that all good things must end” – like his so-called campaign and his so-called marriage.

Harassment claims have affected support, ya think?

The Associated Press (AP) is reporting Republican Tea Party (GOTP) presidential has been playah Herman “Pizza Man” Cain’s acknowledging his slip from the top of the Crazy Eights was due to his lack of addressing accusations of sexual harassment and continued abject confusion about his so-called policies.

The former pizza magnet and “playah” insists his campaign’s sound and supporters remain on board what he calls the “Cain train;” and that sounds reminiscent of what a White Star Line ticket agent might have said about the RMS Titanic still sailing into port even as she was floundering at sea.

Cain has denied the accusations and says “nothing has gone wrong” in terms of the campaign’s mechanics. But he tells CNN’s “State of the Union” that some people “are heavily influenced by perception more so than reality.”

Well look who just caught up; perception is reality Pizza Man, especially in politics, and the fact you and your staff didn’t know this shows once more how unprepared you were to be running.

The Pizza Man never had a chance of winning the nomination, and the fact the party faithful are now flocking to Newton “Stay Puffed” Gingrich shows that. It’s way past time for most of the Crazy Eight’s to pack it in.

Limbaugh calls a 13-Year-Old a Nazi “Brownshirt”?

Rush Limbaugh has proven once again his ignorance, calling the 13-year-old son of one of Herman Cain’s accuser’s a “Brownshirt” because he encouraged his mom to go forward with her information. On the 8 Nov 11 edition of his show, after playing a clip in which Sharon Bialek talks about her son’s encouraging her to come forward with her story, Limbaugh turned to attacking her son and compared him to a Nazi.

“You think Obama doesn’t love hearing this, a 13-year-old tattletale?” Limbaugh asked. “I mean, this is a brownshirt preview here. Exactly what big-government types like; thirteen-year-old; ‘You tell on him, Mom. You go tell on him.’

Later in his show, Limbaugh used a mocking voice to imitate Bialek’s son, “The woman gives the 13-year-old kid the details of what happened, and then seeks the advice of the 13-year-old. And the 13-year-old says, ‘I think you should tell on him, Mommy.’ Which should make Obama ear perk up; oh, I’ll tell you, the leftist brownshirts would love that; tattletales galore.”

Limbaugh’s just flailing around at anything that falls into his ham stained fingers; he doesn’t even like Herman Cain, and this has nothing to do with defending him; it has everything to do with swinging at the President. Rush has proven once again to be a two-bit bully, first going after the victim and then going after her son; El Rushbo’s ratings are dropping sharply, and this is a classic example as to why. Glenn Beck’s ratings plummeted because hate and vitriol, Rush and Hannity’s are following; clearly America isn’t buying it any longer.

Did Cain commit sexual assault?

According to news reports the fourth woman accusing Republican Tea Party (GOTP) presidential candidate Herman “Pizza Man” Cain of sexual harassment has stepped forward; Sharon Bialek told reporters in a press conference that Cain groped her and exhibited “sexually inappropriate” behavior toward her when he was head of the National Restaurant Association.

Bialek said the encounter occurred shortly after she was laid off from the group’s education fund in July 1997; she said she’d approached Cain for help in looking for a new job and had traveled to Washington, D.C., where she had dinner with the then-NRA head.

Reportedly, after having dinner with the Pizza Man, the two were sitting in his car when she claimed he “suddenly reached over and put his hand on my leg under my skirt and reached for my genitals” and moved her head toward his crotch.

“I was surprised and shocked, and I said, what are you doing? You know I have a boyfriend,” Bialek recalled saying. “This is not what I came here for.”

Bialak claimed that when she protested, Cain replied, “You want a job, right?

If what Bialak is claiming is true then Cain is not only guilty of sexual harassment but sexual assault which puts an entirely new spin Pizza Man’s serial behavior towards women.

According to news reports, Bialek identified herself as a stay-at-home single mom who lives in Chicago and who is also a registered Republican; she said she didn’t file a complaint with the NRA in part because she was no longer formally employed by the group–and also because she was “very embarrassed.”

Her attorney, Sharon Bialek, offered sworn affidavits from two friends to whom Bialek spoke shortly after the alleged encounter.

“I was very, very surprised and very shocked,” Bialek said, adding that she had come forward to be a “face” for women who had been harassed by Cain. “I want you, Mr. Cain, to come clean. Just admit what you did. Admit you were inappropriate to people … I implore you. Make this right.”

Cain’s campaign has – not surprisingly – issued a statement denying Bialek’s claims.

“All allegations of harassment against Mr. Cain are completely false,” the campaign said in a statement. “Mr. Cain has never harassed anyone.”

Cain’s effectively backed himself into a corner from where he may not be able to extricate himself; he’s denied everything, then he’s admitted to some of it, then denied it, then said he won’t answer any further questions. Unfortunately for the Pizza Man, presidential candidates don’t get to choose what the news media decides are legitimate questions. He’s running for the most powerful position in our government, and he’s going to have to continue to face questions and public scrutiny regarding these – and probably more – allegations.

It’s all over now for Cain; he’s damaged goods, his campaign is over – whether he somehow wins the GOTP nomination or not – he will never be president, and the likelihood of being selected as someone else’s VP pick is slim to none; but hey, if you can’t be president because you wanted to be a playah – blame yourself.

Media favor ‘gossip’ and scandal story?

The Associated Press (AP) is reporting Republican Tea Party (GOTP) president wanna-be Newt Gingrich is backing his rival Herman “Pizza Man” Cain’s criticism of the news media in connection with the sexual harassment allegations against Cain.

The Newt told NBC’s “Today” show that news organizations care more about scandal than ordinary citizens struggling to make ends meet.

Yes, the news cares about scandal when it surrounds a candidate for the presidency, particularly one who’s been leading in polls for the past month; no, it doesn’t care about it more than “ordinary citizens struggling to make ends meet”, hence the continued coverage of the growing “Occupy” movement. Newt’s rather lame attempt to deflect the media is rather shallow, especially when none of the candidates running for the GOTP brass ring have shown the slightest concern for those “ordinary citizens”; nice attempt at slight-of-hand, however, coming from one of the king’s of political scandal Newt’s words not only lack relevance but they certainly lack credibility.

The former House speaker says voters want a “solution-oriented leader” more than a scandal. He says it’s up to Cain to handle in the way he sees fit. But Gingrich says there’s a gap between the “gossip” he believes journalists pursue, and more deep-seated problems like economic stagnation.

Gingrich says, “What does it mean to the elite news media that nobody in the country ever walks up to us and raises the questions you raise.” He questions the media’s “judgment” on what stories should be emphasized.

Funny how when Newter was the Speaker of the House he was more concerned with President Clinton’s sexual liaison – his scandal – in the Oval Office than with jobs or the “ordinary citizen”, and even led the impeachment all while having an illicit affair while his wife was fighting cancer. The “Speaker’s” sounding like he has an old axe to grind, and is far more concerned with clearing his own path from inquiries into his own sexually tainted past then in defending how Pizza Man’s been “victimized”.
