Mary Sue McClurkin, Alabama GOP Lawmaker, Claims A Baby Is The ‘Largest Organ In A Body’

Welcome to the 21st century Mississippi
It seems the Magnolia State’s lawmakers have finally pulled their collective heads out of their fourth point of contact and officially ratified the 13th Amendment to the Constitution, which banned slavery in 1865. Congratulations.
Maybe now you can come to grips with the fact you lost the war and get around to removing the “Stars and Bars” from your state flag?
NRA’s LaPierre’s claiming the President’s ‘Trying To Take Away’ Americans’ Guns?
According to his appearance, and subsequent spanking, on “FOX News Sunday”, Wayne LaPierre, executive vice president of the National Rifle Association (NRA) is accusing the President of the United States of wanting a universal gun registry, “trying to take away” guns and believing his children deserve security while others do not. The spanking then ensued at the hands of host Chris Wallace.
Wallace begin LaPierre’s comeuppance by asking the NRA “spokes head” to explain – if he could – the NRA’s video accusing President Barack Obama of wanting armed Secret Service Agents for his own children but allegedly opposing armed security for others. Wallace was quick to point out the President’s children face a larger threat than most – if gee, I don’t know? All other American children?
“Tell that to the people at Newtown,” LaPierre brazenly replied attempting to deflect the fact the so-called “right” for private citizens to own the XM-15 assault rifle used in the monstrous massacre of 20 first graders is being protected by his organization.
“Do you really think that the president’s children are the same kind of target as every schoolchild in America?” Wallace asked. “It’s ridiculous, and you know it, sir.”
LaPierre wasn’t able to defend his asinine argument so he attempted to change the subject by claiming while there could be more severe law enforcement against gangs, measures such as regulating certain semi-automatic weapons would have dire consequences. Just one problem Mssr LaPierre, gangs weren’t responsible for any of the mass shootings using assault rifles in America.
“If you limit the American public’s access to semi-automatic technology, you limit their ability to survive,” he weakly mewed. Because we’re likely to be invaded any minute by North Koreans, or perhaps you were referring to the conspiracy theory threat of the federal government coming to throw its citizens into secret prisons?
LaPierre also attempted to prophesy a universal gun registry’s next; a measure, Wallace reminded him, has not been proposed.
“Forgive me, sir, but you take something that is here and you say it’s going to go all the way over there,” Wallace said. “There’s no indication — I mean, I can understand your saying that’s the threat, but there’s nothing that anyone in the administration has said that indicates they’re going to have a universal registry.”
LaPierre’s falling back on the same old tried and true method of the uber-right, fear monger. You don’t need to tell the truth, you don’t need facts on your side, just fear monger. He’s a liar, and sooner or later the majority of Americans, members of the NRA, and hopefully the members of Congress will call him on it; hopefully before anymore of our children are lost.
Lindsey Graham claims Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ‘Got Away With Murder’?
According to news reports, Republican Tea Party (GOTP) Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina’s claiming outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton “got away with murder” in the Benghazi attack that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.
“I haven’t forgotten about Benghazi. Hillary Clinton got away with murder, in my view,” Graham pontificated on Fox News Monday evening, speaking to Greta Van Susteren. “She said they had a clear-eyed view of the threats. How could you have a clear-eyed view of the threats in Benghazi when you didn’t know about the ambassador’s cable coming back from Libya?”
Well Senator, how about this? Perhaps if the uber-conservative GOTP members of the House hadn’t slashed funding for embassy defenses the four Americans would still be alive? The hypocrisy of the right knows no bounds, it’s amazing how this attack’s somehow criminally negligent but the death of more than 3,000 Americans on 9-11, and then sending more than 4,000 American soldiers to their deaths on faulty intelligence wasn’t? So, using Graham’s logic then, the Bush Administration got away not with murder, but with “mass murder”.
In New Mexico Moronic Bill Would Criminalize Abortions After Rape As ‘Tampering With Evidence’
According to news reports, an incredibly obtuse Republican lawmaker in New Mexico has introduced a bill legally requiring rape victims to carry their pregnancies to term in order to use the fetus as evidence for a sexual assault trial.
House Bill 206, is the brain child of state Rep. Cathrynn Brown (R), and would charge a rape victim who ended her pregnancy with a third-degree felony for “tampering with evidence.”
“Tampering with evidence shall include procuring or facilitating an abortion, or compelling or coercing another to obtain an abortion, of a fetus that is the result of criminal sexual penetration or incest with the intent to destroy evidence of the crime,” the bill says, and third-degree felonies in New Mexico carry a sentence of up to three years in prison.
The bill’s unlikely to pass though since Democrats have a majority in both chambers of New Mexico’s state legislature.
Brown claims she introduced the bill with the goal of punishing the person who commits incest or rape and then obtains or facilitates an abortion to destroy the evidence of the crime.
Really, the baby’s going to be the only evidence of the rape? How about a rape kit used collect DNA evidence? Are you really this ignorant? Are you this arrogant?
“New Mexico needs to strengthen its laws to deter sex offenders,” said Brown. “By adding this law in New Mexico, we can help to protect women across our state.”
Wow, Republican Tea Party (GOTP) types have used tortured logic before in order to inflict additional harm upon rape victims – enforced vaginal probes, trying to define “legitimate” rape as well as claiming a woman’s body can prevent a pregnancy if she’s raped – but none has gone this far. Brown appears to be another unthinking right-wing zealot who will do whatever she can to impose her views; she serves as a member of the board of Carlsbad’s Right to Life chapter, and she’s also fond of posting pictures to her Facebook page from the Life’s Issues Institute such as the following:
Brown’s now attempting to backtrack claiming the bill, as introduced, was a misprint. Wanting to charge a rape victim with a third degree felony if she gets an abortion isn’t misprinting Representative, it’s a deliberate attempt to force your myopic Christianity upon everyone else. Thank God the Constitution provides for a separation of Church and State to protect my daughters and granddaughters, my nieces and friends from the likes of good god-fearing Christians like you.
Romney claims President won with ‘Gifts’?
According to the Associated Press (AP), Republican Tea Party (GOTP) presidential footnote Willard Mitt Romney’s telling top donors President Obama was re-elected because of the “gifts” he’d given to Blacks, Hispanics and young voters, and because of the painting him as anti-immigrant.
“The president’s campaign, if you will, focused on giving targeted groups a big gift,” Romney said in a special call to “big” donors this week. “He made a big effort on small things.”
Of course during his call he didn’t bring up any of his own screw ups, like his infamous “47 percent” remark, his lack of support for the auto bailout, his call for illegal immigrants to “self-deport,” or his flip-flopping virtually on every single position.
Among the so-called “gifts” Willard maintains the President had given out in order to win were free health care “in perpetuity,” which Romney alleged was highly motivational to Black and Hispanic voters as well as for voters making $25,000 to $35,000 a year.
Willard also claimed the promise of “amnesty” to the children of illegal immigrants –”the so-called DREAM Act kids” – helped send Hispanics to the polls for Obama.
Then were the “young voters”, which Romney stated, were motivated by the administration’s plan for partial forgiveness of college loan interest and being able to remain on their parents’ health insurance plans. And of course there were the young women who had the additional incentive to vote for the President because of “free contraception coverage” under the president’s health care plan.
So, according to Willard Mitt Romney, he lost because more than 50% of voters were bought off, not because he sucked, his campaign sucked or because the GOTP’s policies really suck. Not only was Mitt a sad candidate, he’s even a sadder loser.
Newt’s ‘Dumbfounded’ by the President’s re-election
So, President Obama scores not just a victory but a decisive victory over Republican Tea Party (GOTP) presidential footnote Willard Mitt Romney and former United States Congressman, Speaker of the House and serial adulterer Leroy Newt Gingrich is offering his take on what happened, saying it’s time for the GOTP “to stop, take a deep breath and learn.”
“The president won an extraordinary victory. And the fact is we owe him the respect of trying to understand what they did and how they did it.” Leroy said, “But if you had said to me three weeks ago, Mitt Romney would get fewer votes than John McCain and it looks like he’ll be 2 million fewer, I would have been dumbfounded.”
But wait, that’s not all, in a recent Politico op-ed Gingrich wrote, “For the conservative movement and the Republican Party to succeed in the future (and while they are not identical the two are inextricably bound together) we will have to learn the lessons of 2012.” He explained, “An intellectually honest and courageous Republican Party has nothing to fear from the current situation.”
Asked about what he wrote on NBC’s “Today,” Gingrich said, “The great thing about elections is they belong to the American people.” He added, “I was wrong last week, as was virtually every major Republican analyst. And so, you have to stop and say to yourself, if I was that far off, what do I need to learn to better understand America?”
Well, Newt, to “better understand America”, you need to learn your head’s full of mush, and your party’s archaic platform’s out of touch with 21st century America. It’s not rocket science; conservatives want to defend the wealthy, cut taxes, increase defense spending, nullify Obamacare, overturn Roe v. Wade, and start a war in Iran; thank goodness the majority of American voters disagree.
‘Fox and Friends’ proves once again brains are not required to host a morning show
In the midst of Hurricane Sandy recovery, “Fox and Friends” is wondering if NBC’s upcoming fundraiser “Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together,” isn’t secretly a campaign event for President Obama.
The benefit, airing tonight is featuring performances by Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Christina Aguilera and Billy Joel, among others, but “Fox and Friends” thinks something is rotten in New Amsterdam, because the concert is airing so close to the presidential election.
“Good intention, raise some money for victims, but the timing is more than suspect,” guest host Eric Bolling said. “Is this more political? Is this more, let’s get this thing on TV before the election to help President Obama look more presidential? Or is it more to help out victims?”
“It does look like they’re trying to squeeze it in,” Steve Doocy agreed, pointing out for his audience that Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen are avowed Obama supporters, while of course conveniently forgetting they’re also both from New Jersey; too much thinking for Doocy apparently makes his brain hurt.
“Is it a hurricane benefit or a concert for Obama?” he asked. “Where are the conservative performers? How’s NBC going to control what people say?”
Yeah Steve, where are the conservative performers, like Ted Nugent and Hank Williams Jr.? Doocy’s proven once again he’s a douche and a moron all at the same time. Seventy four people are dead, and more than three million in 15 states remain without power, but a benefit concert being held in the same week after “Frankenstorm” slams the area is suspiciously political. Once again, Steve Doocy is a douche and a moron.
