Mitt’s Brain Captain: “Oh joy, Christine O’Donnell endorsed us?”

Former Republican Tea Party (GOTO) Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell went on CNN to explain her recent decision to endorse Mitt Romney. The funny bit, as though there are never funny bits when she speaks, came when she gave Mittens a backhanded compliment shining a very bright light on one of the biggest issues conservatives have Mittens – he’s a flip-flopper.

“That’s one of the things that I like about him — because he’s been consistent since he changed his mind,” O’Donnell said in response to a question about continued criticism of Romney’s supposed flip-flopping. “I think that he’s humble enough to say ‘I don’t always have the right answers.’ And he’s open to other viewpoints and if it doesn’t betray his core convictions he’ll make the necessary changes.”

The former teen-aged witch attempted to make clear that her endorsement was personal and not on behalf of the Tea Party or any other political group, but said that she hoped her support for Romney might encourage Tea Party activists to give him a “second look.”

Wow, how can you top an endorsement like this one? An endorsement from a certified crazy woman who recently suffered (2010) one of the worse defeats in a United States senatorial race in our country’s history; only way to seemingly top this would be to garner Sarah Palin’s blessing as well, and eventually Michele Bachmann’s. Yep, Mittens is living in tall political cotton now.

Run Sarah Run?

Huffington Post is reporting that a new political ad is urging former part-time Alaska governor Sarah Palin to reconsider her decision not to run in the 2012 election. The ad allegedly from the group Conservatives4Palin pleads with Palin to “Run Sarah Run!”

Called “The Challenge,” the ad features Palin’s famous remarks against “crony capitalism” and images of tea party protesters mashed up with faded footage of Barack Obama. According to Mediaite, the ad will begin airing in Iowa tomorrow, roughly five weeks ahead of the Iowa caucuses.

“If this ad is able to build some momentum for the Governor, the best way to keep that momentum going may be to commission a national GOTP primary poll that includes the Governor as one of the options,” the group said in an announcement, according to The Hill. “We’ll see if it’s possible given our resources.”

If Palin would decide to launch a presidential campaign, she would only have time to register for the South Carolina primary — the deadlines for Florida and New Hampshire have passed. Palin has already stated that she will not be seeking the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) nomination, making an official announcement in early October.

Yes, by-all-means, please run Sarah; with the probable bailing out of Herman “Pizza Man” Cain, the campaign needs additional comic relief and fo’ paws as only somewhat as excruciatingly politically, historically and economically ignorant as yourself can bring. We miss you Sarah, please run, and help Tina Fey find additional work in the New Year!

Tina Fey says she will not run for president?

Well, it’s finally official – sort of; according to the Associated Press (AP) ex-sportscaster/beauty queen contestant/mayor/VP candidate/governor Sarah Palin is saying she will not run for president, leaving little doubt that the eventual Republican Tea Party (GOTP) nominee will come from the current field of contenders – or some reasonable facsimile thereof.

After months of leaving her loyal subjects guessing, the Ice Queen has issued a proclamation saying that she and her royal consort Todd “devote ourselves to God, family and country,” and that her decision by golly maintains that order don’t ya know.

Her Majesty told uber-conservative per-adolescent radio bloviator Mark Levin that she would not consider a third party candidacy because it would assure President Barack Obama’s reelection.

Yeah, because those hundred or so votes would make all the difference.

Later, in a video authenticated by the CIA and posted on Youtube, Palin said, “you don’t need an office or a title to make a difference.”

Interestingly enough, it was during the unsuccessful 2008 presidential campaign of John McCain, that Palin – the VP nominee – seemed overwhelmed by the national spotlight, faltering at times in televised interviews even when asked straightforward questions, and it was just this week that a former McCain staffer revealed there was serious talk inside the campaign questioning if Palin was fit to be sworn in if they had won the election.

Crazy or not, Palin’s decision is hardly surprising; to put it quite simply, there’s no money in running for president, and clearly her support has eroded to such a point where her chances of winning the nomination – much less the presidency – were somewhere between slim-to-none and a snow ball’s chance. Fact is Palin isn’t now, and never has been, presidential and the GOTP is better off with her not running and simply sniping from the sidelines.

So, now Michele Bachmann is the only crazy woman running, and as anyone who’s attended a family reunion can attest, one crazy woman at a picnic is enough.

Palin inspired mentally ill VP character?

Now here’s something I can say, “Well duh” about; it seems a former McCain campaign adviser, Nicolle Wallace, has told Time that Sarah “Ice Queen” Palin was the inspiration for the character of the mentally-ill vice-presidential character in Wallace’s new novel, “It’s Classified”.

Apparently, during the 2008 campaign, Palin wavered between mental states of either extraordinary highs or debilitating lows, and Wallace said she was often withdrawn, uncommunicative and incapable of performing even the most basic tasks required of her job as McCain’s running mate.

Yeah, basic tasks like being able to name one magazine or newspaper she read regularly to keep up on world events; or to be able to name one Supreme Court decision she disagreed with.

Wallace also said that during the height of the campaign a decision was made to isolate Palin during her debate prep, removing her from the campaign trail, because of the so-called shock of becoming an overnight celebrity.

It seems that “moose in the head lights” look was for real don’t you know.

Wallace even goes so far in her interview to suggest there were discussions about whether, if they were to win, it would be appropriate for her to be sworn in.

Wow, really? Actual discussions – after she’d been tapped as McCain’s running mate – as to her mental fitness to be sworn in as the Vice President? When you think about it this all makes a lot of sense, but it doesn’t speak very highly of McCain’s fitness to have been president or of his campaign staff’s inability to have vetted her.

So, all this time what so many of us have suspected is true; Sarah Palin is nuttier than an Alaskan fruit cake. Makes perfect sense she’d be working for FOX.

Ice Queen denies racy bio?

So, Sarah Palin’s husband – Todd – is calling a book about his family “disgusting lies, innuendo and smears” according to the Associated Press (AP). But wait, isn’t that the usual fare coming out of the Palin camp, especially whenever the ex-governor is talking about the President?

A racy new biography about the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) darling – “The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin”, by Joe McGinniss – includes allegations of infidelity and drug use. All this while the Ice Queen is still mum about a possible 2012 run for the GOTP presidential nomination

“This is a man who has been relentlessly stalking my family to the point of moving in right next door to us to harass us and spy on us to satisfy his creepy obsession with my wife,” Todd Palin wrote of McGinniss. “His book is full of disgusting lies, innuendo and smears. Even The New York Times called this book `dated, petty,’ and that it `chases caustic, unsubstantiated gossip.'”

OK, wait a minute; I think Todd is confused, “dated, petty, caustic and unsubstantiated gossip” are all words usually reserved to describe the hatchet job Sarah habitually tries to perform.  I guess it really sucks to be the skeet instead of the shot huh?

“We’re sure to have a doozey to look forward to with this treasure he’s penning,” Sarah Palin wrote last year. “Wonder what kind of material he’ll gather while overlooking Piper’s bedroom, my little garden and the family’s swimming hole?”

While McGinniss doesn’t appear to mention “Piper’s bedroom”, Palin’s “little garden” or the “swimming hole”, he does repeat allegations first published in The National Enquirer that Sarah Palin carried on an affair with Brad Hanson, Todd Palin’s former business partner. Wasn’t it the Enquirer that first broke word of John Edward’s affair?

In a statement released through Palin’s minions, Hanson is once again denying the allegations, although according to the Enquirer story at least one witness has sworn an affidavit about the situation.

“This is the same old story that went around in 2008. It is a complete and outright lie,” Hanson said. “Todd and Sarah Palin have been good friends for many years, and in fact we still own property together. We sold a former joint business venture for business reasons, nothing more. These attacks are shameful and those making them seem to be out only to destroy good people and make money doing so.”

Well the chickens have finally come home to roost; one problem facing Palin is when you live by the sword – spreading lies and innuendos – eventually you get hit by the same sword. She makes stuff up all the time, and now everyone should rush to her defense because her camp is denying so-called lies someone else is spreading about her?

A second problem facing the Ice Queen is an awful lot of self righteous uber-conservative Christian “family values” types have turned out to have none; Newt Gingrich and John Ensign to name a few. My father used to say if you take what the used car salesman claims to be a car’s greatest strength; it usually turns out to be its greatest liability. Odds are there’re some pretty dank, dusty and fetid skeletons in Palin’s closet, and isn’t it just too bad someone is giving her a taste of her own medicine.

Time for the political reality check; when you play with the pigs – including the ones with lip stick – you’re going to get covered in some pretty foul smelling stuff, and it doesn’t matter if what the writer has alleged is true or not, Sarah Palin is a phony, and since she spews vindictive poison on an almost daily basis, a hit in return is not only expected but deserved. She wants to play in the big leagues, she better be prepared for the hits; put on the pads or get off the field.

Gimme that deep fried butter?

The Chicago Sun Times is reporting that of all people who were likely to drop in at the last minute at the Iowa State Fair to say a howdy do Sarah Palin would be that person. Evidently the Ice Queen is no longer on “jury duty” and has resumed her “One Nation” bus tour just in time for the Iowa Straw Poll tomorrow, even though she hasn’t decided yet if she’s running.

Palin however is claiming she just happened to drop by, “To help highlight this historic all-Americana event. It’s the Iowa State Fair. I’m glad to have it as one of the stops on our ‘One Nation’ bus tour”. Yes sir folks, she just thought she’d help promote your fair; that and she has a deep hankering for fried butter.

“I’m heading down to the fried butter,” she said. “There’s always much more room for much more.”

While fired butter may have been on her lips, it was clear Queen Sarah was hoping to upset some other Republican Tea Party (GOTP) campaigns with her presence, but according to the Sun Times she was able to walk for long stretches through the fairgrounds without being recognized, which was no irritating to someone who craves attention like a junkie craves her next fix; but then some FOX News couch potato would recognize her and she would practically be mobbed by her adoring subjects asking for her autograph and posing for pictures. Clearly some of her luster has faded. Is it possible the Queen has been replaced by a lady in waiting?

As she walked along occasional adoring accolades floated through the air, with loyal Palinistas calling out, “Run, Sarah!” and “You Rock, Sarah!” But there was the intermittent sensible Iowan who would see her and be heard to say, “Oh God, I don’t need to see her!”

When asked if Her Majesty would be throwing her crown into the ring anytime soon she reportedly responded, “That’s still a possibility for a timetable, yes, definitely … to be fair to those supporters and potential supporters, who are waiting on figuring out what the set field will be, I want to be fair to them and make sure that they don’t feel like they are just hanging on to something that’s not going to happen.”

But the Queen isn’t alone in wanting to upset the status quo; Republic of Texas President Rick Perry is expected to try to steal the limelight from the poll by announcing his candidacy in South Carolina Saturday; where else would a secessionist announce his desire to be president? Of course, that’s just what we need, another dim-witted, folksy former governor of Texas running things.

Latest 2012 Presidential Polls (8 Aug 11 Edition)

As we move into the first week of August, here are the most current 2012 presidential election poll numbers.

USA Today/Gallup polling conducted from 4 to 7 August 2011 –who would be the Republican/Tea Party (GOTP) nominee if it all ended today:

Romney 24, Perry 17, Paul 14, Bachmann 13, Gingrich 7, Cain 4, Pawlenty 3, Huntsman 2 and bringing up the rear it’s Santorum with 1 …

So, Romney (aka Flopsy Mopsy) has pulled ahead slightly, with Perry (Pres of the 2nd Republic of Texas) slipping a little, possibly because of his evangelical prayer fest, and Palin (aka the Ice Queen) gets absolutely no mention in our current numbers; Paul moves up, while Bachmann (aka Krazy) is slipping farther behind no doubt due to her hubby’s business of praying the gay away – and her poll numbers too; Gingrich moves ahead a little, as Cain (aka the Pizza Man, who has never met a Muslim he hasn’t disliked) skids farther down; Pawlenty remains stagnant, Huntsman rises a little and Santorum slithers to the bottom of the political gene pool.

In Iowa – according to Rasmussen – Bachmann’s shine is fading 22; Mitt 21; Paul 16; Perry 12; Pawlenty 11; Gingrich 5 and Cain 4 …

In New Hampshire – according to PPP (D): Flopsy 25, Bachmann 18, Palin 11, Paul 9, Perry and Cain 7, Pawlenty and Huntsman 6 and Gingrich 4…

So, how does the GOTP pack stack up against President Obama?

If the election was held today, according to FOX PAC:

President Obama 47/Romney 41

President Obama 49/Bachmann 38

President Obama 47/Perry 37

President Obama 47/Pawlenty 37

President Obama 48/Cain 35

President Obama /Gingrich

President Obama / Palin

President Obama /Paul

President Obama /Huntsman

If the GOTP nomination circus – and the general election – had both ended this week Flopsy would be the GOTP candidate, and he would still have lost to the President.

Latest 2012 Presidential Polls (29 Jul 11 edition)

Hot out of the polling oven it’s the most current 2012 presidential election pastries.

Out first – from Gallup polling conducted from 20 – 24 July 2011 – let’s look at who would be the Republican/Tea Party (GOTP) nominee if it all ended today:

Romney 17, Perry 15, Palin 12, Bachmann and Giuliani 11, Paul 8, Cain and Gingrich 3, Santorum and Pawlenty 2, and Huntsman’s no longer being mentioned in national polls…

So, Romney (aka Flopsy Mopsy) is very narrowly holding on to his lead, with Perry (Pres of the 2nd Republic of Texas) making a very serious challenge (even though he hasn’t announced he’s running) as Palin (aka the Ice Queen – who also hasn’t announced she’s running) moves up while Bachmann (aka Krazy) is beginning to slip behind running neck-and-neck with Giuliani (of all people), followed by Paul, as Cain (aka the Pizza Man, who has never met a Muslim he hasn’t disliked) tied with Newter Gingrich follow, as Pawlenty and Santorum are still running a very distant last place while Jon Huntsman has effectively dropped off the national political radar screen (was he ever on the radar screen?).

But what about the Iowa Caucus? Well, if it was held today (according to Magellan Strategies polling: Krazy 29; Flopsy 16; and the rest of the pack are still running so far back they are inconsequential…

How about New Hampshire? According to PPP (D): Flopsy 25, Bachmann 18, Palin 11, Paul 9, Perry and Cain 7, Pawlenty and Huntsman 6 and Gingrich 4…

So, how does the GOTP pack stack up against President Obama?

If the election was held today, according to NBC/WSJ (which only asked about Bachmann and Romney) and previous polls for the others:

President Obama 48/Romney 41

President Obama 49/Bachmann 38

President Obama 47/Perry 37

President Obama 47/Pawlenty 37

President Obama 52/Gingrich 39

President Obama 53/Palin 37

President Obama 48/Cain 35

President Obama 52/Paul 42

President Obama 52/Huntsman 34

If the GOTP nomination circus – and the general election – had both ended this week Flopsy would be the GOTP candidate, and he would still have lost to the President.

Latest 2012 Presidential Polls (21 Jul 11 edition)

Here’s the latest information on this week’s polling on the 2012 Presidential election.

First – from a Public Policy Polling poll conducted from 14 – 17 July 2011 – let’s look at who would be the Republican/Tea Party (GOTP) nominee if it all ended today:

Romney 20; Bachmann 16; Palin 12; Perry 11; Cain 10; Paul 9; Gingrich 6; Santorum 3 and Pawlenty and Huntsman both bringing up the rear of the pack with a whopping 2%

Romney (aka Flopsy Mopsy) is narrowly holding on to his lead, while Bachmann (aka Krazy) is steadily moving up still followed by the two candidates who haven’t announced they’re running, Palin (aka the Ice Queen), and Perry (Pres of the 2nd Republic of Texas). Bringing up the rear are Herman Cain (aka the Pizza Man, who has never met a Muslim he hasn’t disliked) followed by Paul, Gingrich, Pawlenty, Huntsman and Santorum.

Still wondering how long the guys in the back are going continue deluding themselves that they’re viable candidates? One would think you’d actually do some polling before you jumped into the ring, but I guess not.

With the first major GOTP contest being the Iowa Caucus; if it was held today (according to Mason-Dixon polling: Krazy 32; Flopsy 29; and the rest of pack are still running only in single digits so far back it doesn’t really matter.

So, how does the GOTP pack stack up against President Obama?

If the election was held today, according to NBC/WSJ (which only asked about Bachmann and Romney) and previous polls for the others:

President Obama 48/Romney 41

President Obama 50/Bachmann 35

President Obama 48/Pawlenty 39

President Obama 52/Gingrich 39

President Obama 53/Palin 37

President Obama 48/Cain 36

President Obama 54/Paul 36

President Obama 52/Huntsman 34

If the GOTP nomination circus – and the general election – had both ended this week Flopsy would be the GOTP candidate, and he would still have lost to the President.

Palin Cut Her Tour Short for Jury Duty?

So, former Republican Tea Party (GOTP) Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin is disputing online reports alleging she canceled her bus tour of historic American sites, saying – using her favorite medium Facebook – that her family vacation (aka bus tour) schedule was going to be very tight through the rest of summer because she’s been called for jury duty.

Of course for uber-conservative Palin only the most patriotic of causes could be used as an excuse (um, I mean viable reason) for postponing her “bus tour”, and since she couldn’t be drafted, then jury duty it is; of course since making this announcement no one – including the state of Alaska – can neither confirm, nor deny, that the Ice Queen has indeed been called home for “jury duty”.

Palin said last week that her “One Nation” bus tour would resume “when the time comes.” She added that she’s looking forward “to hitting the open road again.”

“When the time comes” is Palin speak for when she needs another hit of being in the center of the public eye.

Many conservative talking heads, and many of her devoted followers, have been speculating if Palin will ever jump into the GOTP race for President, but she’s already said she wouldn’t run unless there was no one else who could carry the conservative banner to victory. In short, she’ll run one day, when she believes it will score the biggest hit in the public eye, and when it will benefit her – personally – the most. Palin isn’t touring the country for love of America; she’s touring it for love of Palin. She’s an embarrassment, she’s shallow and she’s a has-been.
