Latest 2016 Presidential Polls – 05 September 2016 Edition

Since our last polling update, the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) candidate, Donald Trump, has travelled to Mexico City, further insulted the Mexican people and returned to Phoenix to give a speech insulting American Hispanics, and giving speeches to African Americans claiming they “have nothing to lose” by voting for him; proving once again he is clueless. The candidates move towards debates – unless Trump decides he is not willing to debate Hillary Clinton, which has been floated as a possibility.

Latest 2016 Presidential Polls – 27 August 2016 Edition

Since our last polling update, the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) candidate, Donald Trump, has had to fire his campaign manager, Paul Manafort, after it was discovered he has been on the payroll of a Vladimir Putin lackey, not surprising when we consider how pro-Putin Trump has been. Just more evidence of the GOP candidate’s overt ties to a potential enemy. Earlier Trump openly committed an act of sedition, when he asked Russian hackers to attack Hillary Clinton’s servers and find her missing emails. Trump has called for a Special Prosecutor to investigate the Clinton Foundation; shouldn’t we be asking for a Special Prosecutor to be appointed to investigate Trump’s ties to foreign governments?

Latest 2016 Presidential Polls – 29 July 2016 Edition

The Republican Tea Party (GOTP) candidate, Donald Trump openly committed an act of sedition during the week, asking Russian hackers to attack Hillary Clinton’s servers and find her missing emails leaving leaders of both parties to question whether Trump should receive any intelligence briefings from the CIA, as he may not be entirely trustworthy.

Hillary Clinton has made history being named the Democratic Party’s nominee – the first woman nominated by a major political party in United States history. Sorry, Jill Stein does not count since the Green Party is definitely not a major party. Clinton has selected Virginia Senator Tim Kaine as her running mate, and the two parties have their champions.

Latest 2016 Presidential Polls – 22 July 2016 Edition

The Republican Tea Party (GOTP) candidate, Donald Trump, has declared only he can save America, and has emerged from the disaster which was the Republican National Convention. Between Ben Carson claiming Hillary Clinton is in league with Satan, wife Melania willfully committing plagiarism, and the crowd shouting for blood, calling for Hillary’s arrest and booing Ted Cruz from the stage, many Republican insiders are happy that he’s off to the slaughter and good riddance.

decision 2016

Trump has also anointed his running mate, Governor of Indiana Mike Pence, right-wing evangelical crazy, and politician in freefall who was about to lose his reelection bid after a series of horrendous decisions, including last year’s “religious freedom” exercise wherein he signed into law a bill allowing “Christian” businesses to discriminate against anyone they felt violated God’s law, but primarily same-sex couples.

On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton is set to pick her running mate as she prepares for next week’s Democratic Convention in Philadelphia. Clinton and fellow Democrats spent the past week gleefully watching the Trump Coronation stumble from one miscue to the next.

One has to wonder

One has to wonder what Donald Trump’s problem is.

donald_trump_FeaturedEffects_1Was he not hugged enough as a child?

Was he dropped on his head, multiple times, and kicked as a child?

First, he mocks the entire nation of Mexico, and now he mocks anyone who has ever been a Prisoner of War (POW) declaring in an appearance in Iowa, “He’s (John McCain) not a war hero,” said Trump. “He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

He likes “people who weren’t captured?”

What exactly is his problem? Men and woman who were captured are not – in his pinheaded opinion – heroes? He only likes people “who weren’t captured?”

So, he does not like the 132,096 POWs from World War II through today?

How does the draft dodging Trump feel about America’s 32,404 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines who are Missing in Action (MIA)? Does the man who received four educational deferments and one so-called medical deferment for a bone spur he cannot remember in which foot say, “I don’t like people who get lost?”

Trump is a clown in a primary full of clowns. He is the prince of the clowns, and he is leading in multiple Republican/Tea Party (GOTP) polls nationally. Many of his fellow candidates were quick to denounce his attack on McCain, but many of those same candidates failed to respond to his damning statements about Mexicans being “rapists” and “criminals.” Makes you wonder if these same individuals would have jumped on his case if McCain’s last name had been Rodriguez?

Trump’s comments about Mexicans and now on POWs might play well with the majority of the GOTP, but they do not play well with anyone else, and the “anyone else” is the majority of Americans.

McCain lost in 08’ because of the economy?

According to the Associated Press (AP), Vice President Joe Biden has said Republican Tea Party (GOTP) 2008 Presidential footnote John McCain probably would have won the White House had the economy not collapsed.

mccain palin_Cartoonizer_1

The Vice President shared his comment about the 2008 election during a dinner the two attended as part of a political forum in Sedona, Arizona.

“The truth of the matter is, Barack knows it, I know, had the economy not collapsed around your ears, John, in the middle of literally – as things were moving – I think you probably would have won,” the Vice President said. “But it would have been incredibly, incredibly, incredibly close. You inherited a really difficult time.”

Well, no, not really. I’m sorry to disagree with the Vice President, but the economy was only one big factor in a room full of big factors as to why he lost.

Any GOTP nominee following the Bush/Cheney debacle would have been very hard pressed to win the 2008 election; between failing to protect Americans from terrorist, failing to get Bin Laden, two very expensive and increasingly unpopular wars (one of which was based on lies), torturing prisoners, and cutting taxes – during a time of war – no one would have looked good from the right.

Then there was how the two candidates looked, McCain looked grumpy, old and stodgy when compared to his opponent’s campaign of hope, youth and vitality. The debate where the two are walking around the stage as they were answering questions was a public relations visual nightmare for McCain (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6f4xWorprhM). He seemed to shuffle around the stage, looking like the cantankerous neighbor from down the street who mutters to himself as he goes by; while in comparison Senator Obama moved with ease around the platform speaking energetically about the future. McCain’s campaign should never have agreed to that format.

And who can forget that magic moment when Senator McCain decided the best person for the job of Vice-President was the obtuse Governor of Alaska? Really, Sarah Palin was your choice from all of the people you looked at? Palin wasn’t just a disaster she was a mega-disaster of epic political proportions. Clearly unvetted, she brought a new level of self absorbed ridiculousness to presidential politics. Unable to answer even the simplest questions from Katie Couric she quickly became the butt of all of late night television, and she took McCain’s campaign right along with her. His pick of Palin wasn’t smart, it wasn’t clever, it was a thinly veiled attempt to draw what his campaign thought were disenfranchised women voters from the Obama/Biden ticket; voters the GOTP felt were so angry Hillary Clinton hadn’t been given the number two slot they’d vote against the Democratic nominee. Yeah, didn’t quite work out that way. Tina Fey thanks you though.

While the economy was a factor, it wasn’t the only factor. John McCain was the sacrificial lamb of 2008, just as Gerald Ford was in 76’ and Bob Dole was the same in 96’. Sometimes the cards are stacked against you, and sometimes you help the dealer stack them, for McCain it was both.
