GOTP’s most wanted list?

Republican Tea Party (GOTP) Presidential nominee Willard Mitt Romney’s decided to mock President Obama at a recent campaign appearance, “he (President Obama) wants another stimulus, he wants to hire more government workers. He says we need more firemen, more policemen, more teachers. Did he not get the message of Wisconsin? The American people did. It’s time for us to cut back on government and help the American people.”

So, when exactly did teachers, police and firefighters become the enemy?

When did the Republican Party decide they were the banes of civil society?

These so-called “enemies” are primary and essential to society and to our day-to-day lives.

We give our children to teachers seven hours every day, expecting them to teach our children so they will become contributing members of our society.

We depend on police and firefighters to keep us safe.

And yet we have politicians campaigning on and voting to cut their pay and benefits.

Truth (which most conservatives don’t like to face) is we need professional teachers who love their jobs and don’t have to get a second job to make ends meet.

We want our police and firefighters to know they’re appreciated every time they put their lives on the line for us.

How soon will it be before veterans are also thrown onto the GOTP’s most wanted list? Oh wait, they’re already there; every cut to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security affects those who have defended our country, from Iwo Jima, to Pork Chop Hill, Saigon, Baghdad and Kabul. You see many veterans survive off those benefits, but conservatives from Paul Ryan to Willard Mitt Romney don’t care; they’re wealthy, they never served and they don’t care.

Latest 2012 Presidential Polls – 4 Jun 12 Edition

With 22 weeks to go, Republican Tea Party (GOTP) “it’s my turn” bully-boy Willard Mitt Romney has finally passed the “oh so magical” 1,144 delegates to officially make him the nominee.

However, with that said the final tally of current GOTP popular votes:

Romney 7,903,204 (48%)

Other than Romney 8,239,701 (51%)

While Willard’s now the so-called “nominee”, there’s still been more votes cast for anyone but Romney than for Romney from within his own party; as stated before, this has never happened since the GOTP started using the primary process, and it speaks volumes to how the party feels about their candidate, and about the likelihood of his overall success come November.

So, how does the GOTP candidate stand up against the President?

In the most recent viable’ poll(s) – which are any group other than FOX News or Rasmussen – the most current CNN/Opinion Research poll of registered voters conducted 29-31 May 12, if the general election were held today:

President Obama 49/Romney 46

If the general election was held today, Willard Mitt Romney still loses to President Obama in the general election.

How big would Willard lose? Well, if the General Election were held today, the Electoral College totals based on all available current poll numbers:

Eventually taxes will be increased

We have a huge debt and deficit primarily due to ten years of war while cutting taxes; economics of war 101 is you can’t fight a war without paying for it; you either raise taxes amongst your own people or plunder the enemy – since we don’t plunder the enemy we needed to raise taxes, but we did neither. $2 billion dollars spent per week each in Iraq and Afghanistan x 572 weeks = $2,288,000,000,000 of pure debt with no offset whatsoever; coupled to that an infrastructure badly in need of repair, plus an economy devastated by eight years of mismanagement by the previous administration and you have our economic woes of today.

Conservatives need to give up the failed idea of voodoo economics – trickle down has never worked, it’s a nice rosy economic theory that doesn’t produce what it claims will happen; we’ve had tax breaks for the top 1% (the so-called job creators) for more than a decade, where’s the jobs and where’s the revenue?

There’s going to need to be tax increases – sorry, but that’s going to happen; if it’s going to happen it needs to start with those who can afford them most, and it may then be necessary to raise everyone’s taxes.

After that we’re going to have to cut spending, and the first place to do that is the military; we now spend more on defense then the rest of the world combined, we don’t need a huge active military force, we need sufficient to defend the country. After we’ve trimmed back the military industrial complex we can start on other programs including social programs.

Problem with today’s conservatives is they want to do it all backwards; let’s cut taxes for the wealthiest 1% even more while increasing taxes on the lower classes; next lets increase defense spending while cutting social programs.

Stopping voter fraud?

The problem with this new zealous desire to “cut down on voter fraud” is many of these states suddenly concerned about voter ID are requiring government issued photo id’s, such as a valid driver’s license; what if don’t drive? What if you can’t drive?

In Pennsylvania – in order to vote – you must possess – a valid driver’s license or another government-issued photo, such as a U.S. passport, military ID, or county/municipal employee ID.

Let’s suppose you’re a natural born citizen, but you’re not a member of the military or a county or municipal employee; to get your driver’s license in Pennsylvania you must have a Social Security Card and one additional certificate proving your citizenship either a certified birth certificate or a valid U.S. Passport.

You go to your desk drawer, dresser, filing cabinet, box in the closet or mason jar buried in the back yard to get your non-laminated Social Security card, but you discover it’s not there, or horror of horrors it’s laminated! Here’s what you have to do:

First, prove your citizenship with a U.S. issued birth certificate (original or certified copy issued by the state) or U.S. passport.

If you don’t have a passport (which most Americans don’t have since you only need it for travelling abroad, and most Americans haven’t done that) you’ll have to produce your original birth certificate, and since many people don’t have those either you’ll have to request a duplicate from the state where you were born – for our example this is Pennsylvania, which will cost you $10.00 (basically a poll tax since it’s needed to obtain a non-laminated Social Security card necessary for voting).

Now to continue your odyssey of obtaining a driver’s license in Pennsylvania, in addition to your non-laminated Social Security card, you must also have one of the following:

A copy of your birth certificate with “raised” seal (if you don’t have it, please see above to obtain a copy and pay your first $10.00 poll tax); it must be U.S. issued by an authorized government agency, including U.S. territories or Puerto Rico. Non-U.S. Birth Certificates will not be accepted … too bad John McCain or George Romney (if he were alive today) both men were U.S. citizens but neither could use their birth certificates in Pennsylvania; or a valid U.S. Passport (which isn’t needed because now you have your birth certificate!).

But wait! Once you’ve got the proof that you’re a real Yankee Doodle Dandy you’ll have to prove you’re a resident of the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania – which is a separate comedy of errors we’ll not explore now; for today let’s assume you can prove you’re a resident of the Commonwealth.

In addition to obtaining a copy of your birth certificate you’ll also have to pass a vision test and supply a “medical qualification certificate” proving you don’t suffer from neurological disorders, neuropsychiatric disorders, circulatory disorders, cardiac disorders, hypertension, uncontrolled epilepsy, uncontrolled diabetes, cognitive impairment (most conservatives), alcohol abuse (that leaves out most of Congress), drug abuse (that leaves out Rush Limbaugh), conditions causing repeated lapses of consciousness (e.g. epilepsy, narcolepsy, hysteria, etc.); additionally, you can’t have any impairment or amputation of an appendage (shop teachers, severely wounded veterans, or people who’ve been in an accident or who were born with a defect need not apply). If you’re blind or severely disabled you won’t be able to get a driver’s license in Pennsylvania, of course if you’re blind you won’t be able to get a driver’s license in most states.

If you can qualify for the license your additional cost of getting your Initial Permit and Four-Year License (if you’ve never had a driver’s license) is $34.50 (that’s a state issued id needed to vote – that’s a poll tax).

Remember, in Pennsylvania – in order to vote – you must possess – a valid driver’s license or another government-issued photo, such as a U.S. passport, military ID, or county/municipal employee ID. So, if you’re not in the military, if you’re not a county/municipal employee, or if you can’t qualify for – or afford – a driver’s license you’re not allowed to vote in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. At best the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) dominated State Assembly’s instituted a new poll tax; while at worst it’s deliberately disenfranchising the poor, elderly and disabled; got to love groups which pound their collective chest swearing their love and devotion for the rights espoused and protected in the Constitution while sticking it to voters.

Welcome to the United States of Amercia?

I was born here, raised my family here, taught in its schools and served in its military; only to find out we’ve all been misspelling its name?

And we all have the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) presidential candidate Willard Mitt Romney to thank for pointing this out to us; it seems Willard’s actually running for President of the United States of “Amercia.”

In what can only be described as a major political faux paw of epic embarrassing proportions, Willard’s campaign misspelled the word “America” on its new “With Mitt” iPhone app.

The app has a transparent skin allowing users to take a photograph and superimpose the slogan “A better Amercia” on the image.

According to the Associated Press (AP) the twitter world’s full of comments on the mistake, “Whew, I hear Mitt’s updating that misspelled Amercia on his app. He’s just going with Untied States now,” read one tweet.

“Does Mitt Romney believe that Obama was born in Keyna,” another tweeter jabbed.

The “A better Amercia” skin is just one of 14 on the user-friendly app. Most of them include the phrase “I’m With Mitt” at the bottom.

“We thought this would be a fun, easy way to showcase support,” Romney’s digital director Zac Moffatt told Mashable.com when asked about the launch of the app.

Congrats Zac, people are definitely having fun with this app; two words, “spell check”.

Poland ran death camps?

According to various news reports, Poland’s Prime Minister (PM) is rather upset over President Obama’s misspeak this week when he referred to “Polish death camps” during a ceremony honoring a World War II hero, saying he wants a “stronger, more pointed” response.

So, what’s the President to do? He can allow Poland to be upset for awhile, and allow conservative talking heads to make fun of him, or he can say he’s sorry and deal with the unending litany of being accused of apologizing for America again.

And while the phrasing may be considered hugely offensive in Poland, where Nazi Germany murdered Poles, Jews and others in death camps it built during World War II on Polish and German territory, the facts are more than 225,000 Poles served in the Wehrmacht, Kriegsmarine and even in the Waffen SS, so Poland isn’t exactly completely innocent when all things are considered.

Former President and Solidarity founder Lech Walesa said the phrase confused henchmen with their victims but that Obama’s mistake might prevent similar statements by others.

The White House has tried to explain that the president misspoke in bestowing the Medal of Freedom posthumously on Jan Kozielewski, alias Karski, a Polish emissary who in 1943 alerted Allied leaders to mass killing of Jews. In order to gather first-hand evidence he risked his life and was secretly smuggled into the Warsaw Ghetto and a death camp. Additionally, it was pointed out President Obama has visited the Warsaw Ghetto Memorial while in Poland and that he has repeatedly discussed the bravery of Poles during World War II.

Yes, Poland was and still is one of our strongest allies, but this was not a deliberate attempt to insult the Polish people, and in fact this continued petulance over the issue is overshadowing the awarding of the Medal of Freedom to one their countrymen; unfortunately, Poland can’t really deny there were death camps in Poland, and that Poles served in the military of the Third Reich; accept the explanation and move on, or perhaps you’d prefer to deal with your Russian cousins to the East?

Willard and Donald?

The Associated Press (AP) is reporting Republican Tea Party (GOTP) presumptive nominee Willard Mitt Romney’s courting voters and donors at a Las Vegas fundraiser with conservative businessman Donald Trump.

This latest trip into the venue of strange political bedfellows comes amidst fresh criticism from Republicans and Democrats alike over Trump’s continued questioning of President Obama’s citizenship, and yet, of course, Willard hasn’t condemned Donald’s moronic claims, offering yet again another example of abject reluctance to confront the GOTP’s more extreme elements.

Asked to weigh in on Trump’s birtherism, Willard equivocated, “I don’t agree with all the people who support me.” Of course no one really knows what that might be, but Willard continued, “But I need to get 50.1 percent or more.”

So, what exactly does that mean, “I don’t agree with all the people who support me,” and, “… I need to get 50.1 percent or more”?

Who’s exactly supporting Willard who he doesn’t agree with? Or even more importantly how far is he willing to push this logic?

To what extent will he go to win?

If he’s willing to pal around with the likes of Donald Trump who elses’ support is he willing to accept in order to reach the magic “50.1 percent or more”?

Latest 2012 Presidential Polls – 18 May 12 Edition

This past week saw the demise of the Ron Paul epic journey towards the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) White House nomination leaving “it’s my turn” conservative Bully-boy Willard Mitt Romney all alone on the stage, prepped and ready to begin debating himself over each and every idea he’s ever had; of course even as the only guy running, Willard still has yet to capture the magic 1,144 delegates to officially make him the nominee.

Willard picked up two more primary victories this week in Nebraska and Oregon with a whopping 19 delegates, 44 still undecided, 3 for Paul and one for Santorum; the regular season primary wins to date: Romney 31; anyone but Romney 12.

The GOTP Delegate Count (1,144 needed to win) to date is: Romney 989; other than Romney 509.

The current GOTP Popular Vote Count is:

Romney 6,684,300 (46%)

Other than Romney 7,787,490 (54%)

Although Willard’s still the so-called “presumptive nominee”, fact is, week after week, there’ve been more votes cast for anyone but Romney than for Romney from within his own party.

So, how does the “presumptive” GOTP candidate stand up against the President?

Although my usual statement is “the most recent ‘viable’ polls (which are neither FOX News nor Rasmussen)” the most current FOX News poll of registered voters conducted 13-15 May 12 is just too funny to pass up; according to FOX News, if the general election were held today:

President Obama 46/Romney 39

If the general election was held today, Willard Mitt Romney still lose to President Obama in the general election.

How big would Willard lose? Well, if the General Election were held today, the Electoral College totals based on all available current poll numbers:

And finally there was one

According to news reports Republican Tea Party (GOTP) Presidential “never had a chance” hopeful Ron Paul has effectively ended his presidential campaign but urged his fervent supporters to continue working at the state party level to cause havoc for presumptive GOTP nominee Willard Mitt Romney.

Paul’s urging his libertarian-leaning backers to remain involved in politics and champion his causes and trumpeted how he’s delayed Willard’s expected nomination.

“Moving forward, however, we will no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted,” Paul said. “Doing so with any hope of success would take many tens of millions of dollars we simply do not have. I encourage all supporters of liberty to make sure you get to the polls and make your voices heard, particularly in the local, state and congressional elections, where so many defenders of freedom are fighting and need your support.”

Paul’s supporters have successfully won state GOTP conventions in both Maine and Nevada, and his supporters in Iowa and Nevada were chosen to lead the state central parties.

“Our campaign will continue to work in the state convention process. We will continue to take leadership positions, win delegates and carry a strong message to the Republican National Convention that liberty is the way of the future,” Paul vowed.

While Willard’s disdainfully ignored Paul, and has started campaigning against the President, Paul’s very unlikely to endorse him as there’s just too much on which they disagree and it’s very likely his followers may fall in behind Libertarian Presidential candidate Gary Johnson, which could hurt Romney in November.

Latest 2012 Presidential Polls – 11 May 12 Edition

A week after Newton Leroy Gingrich finally bowed out of the Republican Tea Party (GOTP) presidential contest, leaving perennial hopeful Bully-boy Willard Mitt Romney and the other guy in contention; of course Willard still has yet to capture the magic 1,144 delegates to officially make him the nominee.

Willard picked up three more primary victories this week in North Carolina, Indiana and West Virginia with 59 delegates and 37 still undecided; the regular season primary wins to date: Romney 29; Ron “Somebody or Other” 1 and anyone but Romney 12.

The GOTP Delegate Count (1,144 needed to win) to date is: Romney 949; other than Romney 426 and Paul 99.

The current GOTP Popular Vote Count is:

Romney 6,354,712

Other than Romney 6,101,937

Paul 1,554,822

Although Willard’s still the presumptive nominee, it’ still (week after week) a big fat hairy fact, there’ve been more votes cast for anyone but Romney than for Romney:

Anyone but Romney 7,656,759 (55%)

Romney 6,354,712 (45%)

Willard’s still only managing 45% of his own party’s vote to date; and no doubt the President is truly terrified by the amount of support Romney’s garnering.

So, how does the “presumptive” GOTP candidate stand up against the President?

The most recent “viable” polls (which are neither FOX News nor Rasmussen); the most current Associated Press/GfK poll of likely voters conducted 03-07 May 12; if the general election were held today:

President Obama 50/Romney 42

If the general election was held today, Willard Mitt Romney would still be the GOTP nominee, and he’d still lose to President Obama in the general election.

How big would Willard lose? Well, if the General Election were held today, the Electoral College totals based on all available current poll numbers:
